Recent Thumbtack reviews give Roberto Handyman a clear through-line: broad home-improvement work with unusually concrete praise for communication, cleanup, and follow-through. Customers describe electrical troubleshooting, conduit and cable installation, flooring, painting, trim, cabinet refinishing, and other renovation work; Thumbtack lists 4.9 stars from 41 reviews, 11 years in business, and 149 projects. A July 2026 customer described a crawlspace conduit and home-theater cable drop, with a clear explanation before work and cleanup afterward. Another July customer hired the team for roughly $13,000 of labor across a major renovation and praised its honesty, reliability, and straightforward communication, while noting that complex plumbing or electrical work should be discussed carefully and that some small mistakes required rework. The service footprint is not consistent across directories. Thumbtack places the profile in San Jose, California; Angi lists a Hurst, Texas business with 11 years of experience; HomeAdvisor lists Worcester, Massachusetts with 26 years; and BuildZoom lists a Trenton, New Jersey license profile. Confirm the correct entity, address, and applicable credentials before relying on any listing. This looks best suited to a homeowner seeking one crew for varied repairs, finish work, and general remodeling. Get a detailed written scope and references, and use a properly licensed specialist when a project requires precision electrical or plumbing expertise.
Roberto installed a conduit through my crawlspace and did a cable drop for home theater purposes. He was very professional and gave a clear explanation of what was going to be done before starting the job. He also cleaned up after the work was done. He cleaned up after the work was finished so there was no mess left over from the drilling and drywall cutting. I highly recommend him.
I hired this team for a major home renovation project totaling about $13,000 in labor, and overall I had a very positive experience. They completed work across multiple areas of the house, including bathroom updates, electrical work, painting, flooring, doors and trim, kitchen cabinet refinishing, window blinds, and other miscellaneous repairs. The biggest reason I would hire them again is their honesty and reliability. If they committed to something, they followed through. They were upfront about what they could and couldn't do, which I really appreciated. Communication was straightforward, and they worked hard to make sure the project was completed.
Roberto removed an old nasty carpet and the ugly linoleum we found underneath it, laid down new plywood, and installed luxury vinyl tile. The workmanship is excellent. Roberto also discussed all issues that came up and found solutions (old house, lots of work done by DIY owners who did interesting work). We will definitely contact Roberto with future projects.
Roberto did an excellent job changing our circuit breaker panel, adding new circuits, updating outlets and switches and general electrical troubleshooting. He and his crew are easy to work with and eager to please the customer. They will work hard and long hours to do the right thing and aim for a perfect result.
Responded and was at my house within an hour of my inquiry. Diagnosed the issue timely. He was professional throughout our interaction.
