Call them when something is backing up. That is the job Rooter Man gets hired for over and over — a tub that Drano cannot touch, a toilet emptying into the shower, a main line choked with roots — and the speed of the answer is what customers keep writing about. Google's page for the Lawrence business sits at 5.0 across 154 ratings. The company works out of 46 Portland Street in Lawrence and is reviewed under a few names: Rooter Man, RooterMan North, and Daigle Enterprises Inc., which a customer thanked by name in May after a residential septic visit. What recent customers describe is unglamorous, specific work. In May, someone with sewer lines out to the street and old traps all backed up got a same-day visit from a technician named Chris D., who gave the price before starting. Another had been quoted around $1,000 for a severe blockage filling every sink; the technician who came out found it and cleared it without the large snake. A homeowner worried that a tree root in the main line meant costly repairs had it solved in minutes with a couple of snakes in June. Another June call involved a basement pump serving a half bath and kitchenette that several plumbers and one other drain company had failed to fix. The same first names recur through years of comments — Mark, Matt, Jason, Shawn, Chris, Joe — often with surnames attached, which is not what a padded review page looks like. Customers also mention a text before the visit carrying the technician's arrival time and photo. Restaurants and commercial buildings turn up in the comments alongside homes. There is a caveat worth naming. Nearly everything readable about this company comes from one platform, and one of those five-star comments is not a customer at all — it reads as a trade partner: "mutual customers of ours are always happy". A perfect average across 154 ratings tells you less than the individual accounts do. If your drain, sewer line or septic tank is the problem and you want someone this week, they are a straightforward call — customers describe arrivals within hours, tidy cleanup, and a price stated before the work starts. Ask what the visit will cost when you book, and confirm any Massachusetts licensing directly with the state before the job goes beyond clearing a line.

We called Rooterman for what has been a routine drain clearing in the past. This time it was more than routine and took extra time and effort for our man Mark Murphy. Marc kept after the problem, was resilient, professional, and got a hard job done! We have had Rooterman and Mark in the past And will never hesitate reaching out to them again in the future. We are hoping they will never be a need to reach out, but if so… As usual… This was excellent service. I highly recommend to others without reservation.

Rooter-Man (Matt) arrived on time. He quickly found a piece of plastic stuck in the toilet. He removed it quickly. He charged about 1/2 as much as normal. I am very happy with the service that Rooter-Man provides. Thanks
