George Ropes has run the South Hamilton company since he incorporated it in 1976, working out of 140 School Street. The Better Business Bureau lists it as a one-person operation offering a full range of pest control work, with termite control called out specifically. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade, and no complaints appear on it, though the company has never sought BBB accreditation. What is missing is any account from customers. Nothing has been published about how a job with them actually goes — no reviews, no ratings, no photos of work. Half a century of continuous operation in one town says something about staying power, but it is not the same as knowing what a treatment visit looks like. Before booking, ask two things: whether the pesticide applicator licensing is current with the state, since Massachusetts requires it for this work, and what the termite inspection and treatment actually covers, given that is the service the company highlights. A sensible call if you want a long-established local exterminator rather than a national franchise, and you are willing to ask for references directly since none are published.
