Ryan's Floor Service is a Quincy flooring contractor; the one detailed review on file, from 2024, describes a customer's experience across three separate jobs spanning about 18 years. The first job, described as roughly 18 years earlier, went well — a prompt, reasonable quote and what the reviewer called an exceptional, flawless hardwood installation. A second job about a decade later was less successful: the crew used some chipped hardwood planks, and the reviewer said the imperfections weren't fully corrected afterward, even though the quote fee itself was refunded. The reviewer summed up the pattern as a decline in service quality over time and rated the most recent experience one star. With only this one written account on file, there isn't enough here to say whether that reflects an ongoing pattern or a single bad job — worth asking directly about current crew and quality-control process before booking.
I have engaged Ryan Flooring in Quincy on three occasions, but unfortunately, I've noticed a decline in their service quality over time. The first experience, approximately 18 years ago. They provided a prompt and reasonable quote. The work was exceptional with a flawless installation of new hardwood floors, earning them a 5-star rating. About 10 years later, the second engagement was less satisfactory. While they initially charged for the quote, she refunded the fee upon project completion. However, they used some chipped hardwood planks and failed to rectify the imperfections after sealing, resulting in noticeable flaws. Most recently, in June/July 2024, I contacted them to repair a scratch on the hallway floor. They promised to sand and coat the entire hallway but instead, they performed quick patchwork on the scratched area and left within 30 minutes, leaving a visibly uneven finish. Despite clarifying with them and having him return to do the full job, they repeated the patchwork and departed in just 20 minutes without resolving the issue. Attempts to resolve this with them after that were unsuccessful and they stopped responding. As a result, I had to seek assistance from another flooring company to complete the job satisfactorily. Based on these experiences, I would caution others against using their services and suggest going for better quality and reliable service elsewhere.
