Verified record
Titan Hardwood Floors & Remodeling, based in Dorchester Center, has a written record that runs back to 2016, when it was consistently praised on HomeAdvisor for on-time, courteous installation work — 'did what he said, cost what he said,' with a 2019 review describing 1,100 square feet of hardwood installed on the promised schedule. Reviews from 2016 through 2022 describe fair pricing and flexible scheduling, and HomeAdvisor has marked the business 'Approved' and lists 16 years of experience across installation, refinishing, repair and laminate flooring. More recent activity is mixed. A December 2024 Google review calls the work 'outstanding' with no further detail, but a July 2024 review describes a real problem: the company upsold a 'commercial grade' finish that started failing within a week of a hardwood install, with patches lifting. The crew came back to repair it, but the reviewer says more patches lifted over the following year. So the picture here spans two eras: a long, largely positive history of installation work through the HomeAdvisor years, and a specific, documented finish-quality complaint from 2024 that wasn't fully resolved by the return visit. Anyone hiring for a finish or refinishing job in particular should ask directly what finish product is being used and what the warranty covers if it fails. For straightforward hardwood installation, the older record is solid; for anything involving finish work, get the warranty terms in writing given the 2024 account.

Workers did an outstanding job!
Install was fine in my eyes. Really went out of the way due to delays. However, the floor finish that we were up sold on failed in less than a week with patches coming up. They did go out and "repair." Through out the year more patches have lifted. The "commercial grade" finish had scratched everywhere. Whole floor needs to be redone. When we spoke to other installers they told us the urethane coats weren't bonding properly and would have to be refinished. Had a world wide flooring inspector come and agreed. Also mentioned other bigger flaws but I understand nothing is ever perfect so I let it go. Other installers had said the "water based" finishes we were upsold on was a scam. After having a few pieces finished in an oil based finish, including a bench that gets daily use, I can for sure say they were right. Bench is flawless without a scratch. Our main floor is all scratches. For all the money we paid as an upgrade in finish, I really expected to get more than a year out of this.
John, the owner was amazing! He gave me a decent price, was flexible with what I needed to have done, his workers were skilled, on time, and courteous. I will hire them again when I want other work done in my apartment or rental unit. I highly recommend them!
I had a very positive experience with Mr. Hoang Duong and his highly skilled team. They did an excellent job of installing 1100 square feet of hardwood in my apartment, and they did it on the time-table that they promised. They removed carpets and solved the problem of gluing the wood to exposed concrete. They solved whatever problems that arose and they moved some furniture for me. Overall an outstanding result.
The Titan guys are truly professional in all senses of the word. also Kind and considerate. Definitely calling them again to help me with any flooring I need.
