Years of pool openings and closings bring customers back to Scarritt Spas & Pools in Bristol. One October 2026 Google reviewer described using the company for both over many years, praising the crew's attention to detail. A September customer praised Jake and Ethan for a quick, professional pool closing. Scarritt says it has been in business for 43 years and offers free estimates; Google shows 4.6 stars from 178 ratings. The work extends to liners, covers and hot tub repairs. A June customer said David replaced a liner and fixed other issues. In May, another customer described selecting a replacement cover for a HotSpring Jetsetter and having it installed by a courteous, efficient technician. A November 2025 reviewer said Scarritt provided service at home in one day, replaced a spa pump and texted a water analysis. A September 2025 customer said a leaking hot tub was diagnosed and repaired during the same visit. In an April 2026 review, Dan Mike credited Dave with resolving cloudy water after more than three weeks of trouble, in time for his daughter's graduation party. A recent cover purchase brought a very different experience. An October 2026 customer said an almost $6,000 pool cover had arrived before anyone notified them, followed by almost three weeks of repeated calls trying to arrange installation. The cover was eventually installed, and the customer praised the installers, but considered the offered $75 reduction inadequate. An August 2025 customer described three separate hose or clamp failures after a May pool installation, with the third draining water to the skimmer and flooding the yard. The customer said Dave offered a part after an earlier failure but wanted to charge for a later visit to check the connections. The same account said a moisture-affected pressure gauge had been replaced shortly after installation. In October 2025, another customer said Scarritt refused help with pool problems and turned them away from water testing. Other complaints concern purchases and support: a July 2025 customer considered a pool pump overpriced; a February 2023 reviewer praised the product but criticized service after the sale. In June 2022, a buyer said a robotic cleaner failed to clean as promised after a week and criticized the return policy and response.
“City leaders celebrate Scarritt Spas & Pools being in business for 40 years in Bristol.”
Dave and his crew are very professional and respectful. If you need anything done to your pool and done correctly Scarett pools is the only place I will go too.
Excellent products and service. The entire team at Scarritt is knowledgeable, courteous, informative, and always focused on the customer. I’ve had my pool opened and closed by Scarritt for years, and they invariably do an outstanding job, with meticulous attention to detail. If you’re seeking quality work, consistently performed by conscientious staff, Scarritt Spas and Pools will never disappoint. I highly recommend Scarritt Spas and Pools.
We ordered a new pool cover for a pool purchased from the same place. Time passed and I ended up calling in since it seemed beyond the time we were told. I was then told it came in a few days ago which I suppose i have to believe. While it would be fine if it ended there, I then had to make repeated calls over a period of almost 3 weeks to attempt to have someone simply call us back to make an appointment to install the cover! No one ever called us back all the while they were sitting on the almost $6000 cover we paid them for. Finally the cover got installed (thanks to their install techs who were awesome thank goodness) and when we voiced frustration for the process we were told they'd take off 75 bucks. Personally for all the time we wasted calling in and repeatedly calling back to get someone to simply answer us, that was just not adequate. Overall not happy at all with the sales experience for the hard earmed money we spent.
Excellent service. Highly recommend
My pool closing was done professionally and quickly! Jake and Ethan are both professional, courteous, and helpful!
