Scott Williams

Scott Williams is a heating oil delivery company and HVAC contractor in Quincy. A 2026 Google reviewer said that when their temporary office location ran out of oil, the company came out the same day. The company says it was founded in 1937 by Lawrence Williams and is family-owned, run by company president Ken Williams, the founder's grandson. Its website names a service area that includes West Roxbury, Dorchester, Milton, Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth and Canton. A 2025 customer said the company repaired their AC on one of the hottest days of the year and named Andy as the technician. In a 2025 review, a customer described technicians coming out to move baseboard heating around their basement and singled out a tech named Greg, who explained the installation process and took care to protect their floors and walls. A 2021 customer said the company did a full boiler and water heater rip-out and installation, and that Greg made sure they were up to speed on the new system before leaving. A 2024 reviewer wrote that the technician Greg was "a wealth of information" and that their oil burner was running like new. A 2024 r/massachusetts commenter who had used the company for a number of years said it replaced two expansion tanks and some other minor things with never an added charge. A 2024 Google reviewer in Hingham said they had been customers for twenty years and got a discount on oil and the maintenance contract as members of a regional energy alliance. A 2024 reviewer wrote that Carolyn and the team were very helpful on the phone when there was an issue. A 2020 pissedconsumer.com post from a 30-year customer said the company installed a new boiler and that a plumber said it was done well. A 2026 Google reviewer said a woman hung up on them twice, before they could finish speaking, when they called about an issue with their bill. In a 2025 review, a customer said a very rude woman answered the phone and hung up before they finished talking. A 2023 reviewer called the personnel rude and inept, the billing system the worst they had experienced and the drivers clueless. A 2023 reviewer said their aunt, over 72, had an appointment between 8:00 and 9:00 am, and that door-camera footage showed the man arrive at 8:10 and leave three seconds later with no knock, no doorbell and no phone call, because the woman at the front desk had dialed the wrong number. That 2023 reviewer said the company was not willing to help the aunt afterward, and that Kenny, the manager, did not believe anybody but his workers.
