On Cape Cod, reviewers who call Sea Bolt Electric tend to end up on a first-name basis with Troy Fender — his name turns up again and again, whether it's a Sunday emergency or a whole-house generator install. Its Google rating sits at 5 stars from 112 ratings, with 21 more reviews landing in the past six months alone and no complaints among them. Its Massachusetts electrician license (No. 8413) is active, registered to Sea Bolt Electric Inc. itself. Across the 84 reviews on file since 2023, specifics repeat more than adjectives do. In an August 2026 review, a customer described losing power after a windstorm near Surf Drive Beach with summer renters in the house — the crew rearranged their schedule and had service back within five hours, even with one of their own technicians on vacation. In a 2024 review, another reached Troy on a Sunday while he was out of town; he pointed them to Eversource first, then fixed the house's own wiring problem himself in under an hour once it turned out not to be a utility issue. Generators come up often across the years — installs, annual maintenance, and, in one 2025 review, being serviced "right after the blizzard." Smaller jobs get the same attention to detail: 2025 reviews describe a new circuit run and assembly for a customer's sauna, motion floodlights, and ceiling lights patched cleanly into a wall. In an October 2024 review, one customer said the work itself was fine, but a roughly hour-long job came with a price that felt high and no quote given beforehand — worth asking for a number before they start. For panel upgrades, EV chargers, generator work, or a same-day fix on the Cape, this is a shop where the technicians who show up are the ones customers already know by name.
The electritians that came were friendly, informative and reflect extremely well on Seabolt.
Sea Bolt made it easy to get an appointment. Andrew and Nick arrived as scheduled and were able to diagnose our issue and make the repairs.
I was in a terrible bind post-wind storm to reestablish electrical service to my house near Surf Drive Beach. Compounding the situation, summer renters were occupying, spending their hard-earned dollars to be there. In spite of the fact that one of Sea Bolt’s primary technicians was also on vacation, Troy Fender and his team sprang into action, rearranged their schedule, and restored service within 5 hours. [I am told this job easily could have taken a full day or two!] Troy’s extra coordination with the Town wiring inspector and EVERSOURCE was just icing on the cake!!
Nick and Andrew arrived on time and quickly upgraded circuit box to accommodate new stove - they answered a few questions and were very neat. I highly recommend Sea Bolt Electric!!
