Wake up to bees in the bathroom and this is the kind of shop that turns up the same day. A July 2025 reviewer found their bathroom and walk-in closet infested and wrote that Security Pest came out within hours of the call; in an October 2024 review, a homeowner with bees getting into the house said a technician was there within two hours. The Lowell company goes back a long way. Its own site says it was founded in 1993 and describes itself as a family business, and long customer tenures match that: a 2024 reviewer wrote that they had used Security Pest for 18 years, starting with a carpenter-ant infestation when they bought the house, and had Bill come back each year for the preventive barrier treatment; another, in June 2025, said the household had been on the home-protection service for more than ten years. Customers here know their technician by name. Jim is named in more than a dozen reviews — thorough, on time, explains what he is doing as he inspects. John Santoro and John Maher come up in the most recent ones, from May and June 2026, and Raymond, Jose C. and Bill turn up in older ones. On Google the company averages 5 stars across 61 ratings. Two things to settle before the truck rolls. An April 2025 reviewer said they were charged for two homes when the second building was a garage, and would have liked that explained first, so pin down what the quote covers building by building. And the ownership has changed: a pest-control trade publication reported in August 2026 that Catseye Pest Control had acquired Security Pest Elimination of Lowell, and the company's own site now says it operates under the Catseye network. A sensible call for a stinging-insect emergency or a standing perimeter plan in Eastern Massachusetts and, the company says, Southern New Hampshire. Ask who holds the service agreement after the acquisition, and whether the technician assigned to your house stays on the route.
