Sharka Construction is a one-owner-operator remodeling outfit out of Pembroke, run by Ari (Ariol) Sharka, doing kitchen and bathroom remodels, decks, siding, and finish carpentry within about a 25-mile radius of town, according to the company's own site. Across 30 reviews from 2020 through 2026 spread over seven platforms, Google, HomeAdvisor, and Angi among them, the same name keeps showing up: Ari himself. Reviewers describe full bathroom overhauls, from a narrow half bath turned into a walk-in shower to a main bathroom redone with new tile, and multiple deck rebuilds where customers said Ari walked them through the materials that would hold up through New England winters. Door and trim work comes up again and again too, replacing a screen door and several interior doors, installing a storm door and insulating around it, even a small towel-bar fixture job he took on when "other big companies didn't want to." HomeAdvisor puts him at 4.9 stars from 81 ratings and Angi shows the identical 4.9 from 81, with Google reviews as recent as August 2026 still describing him as communicative and punctual. Nine reviews have come in over the past six months, none of them negative. One thing worth checking before booking: the state registry shows his Massachusetts home improvement contractor license, held under Ariol Sharka, as currently expired, worth asking about directly rather than assuming from the reviews alone. A single 2020 review also called the work "kind of expensive," though the same reviewer still praised the professionalism and accuracy of the job. And a 2020 review credits him with electrical work, which doesn't match what the company's own site lists today, worth clarifying what's actually in scope for a given job. Sharka Construction reads like the contractor homeowners call for a bathroom remodel, a deck rebuild, or a run of doors and trim work, then call again, a 2020 reviewer noted it was already their second project with him, and several others said they'd hire him again. Confirm the license status and get the estimate in writing before signing on.
Ari has been our go to contractor for all our projects. We have a tough dynamic since our son has autism, but Ari has always made it work. He comes when our schedule allows and stays longer when needed. Never passes judgement, as our house can be a nightmare due to our son with autism. Our most recent project by Ari is beyond what we could have pictured. He took my vision and made it happen. We love our new pool deck and patio. It’s beautiful. I am attaching before and after pictures. Ari is amazing and we would be lost without him. He does small projects and big ones! He has replaced windows, doors, did both our bathrooms over and now our deck. We are so happy with all of his work!!!
Arjol did our whole house renovation. With hard work experience and honesty. Very communicative and punctual. We will work with him again!
I hired Sharka Construction about a kitchen renovation and I was impressed with the quality of the work and how well it turned out. Ari was very professional, experienced and informative during the whole process! I highly recommend him.
Ari replaced areas of siding and rotted trim/woodwork. He is professional, communicative and helpful. I plan on hiring Ari for interior jobs in the very near future. His quality is above and beyond.
Ari Sharka replaced my screen door as well as several interior doors. He is punctual, thorough, friendly and extremely professional. I highly recommend Ari!
