Sharka Construction

A family in an August 2026 Google review lays out a tough dynamic — their son has autism — and says Ari Sharka works around it: he comes when their schedule allows, stays longer when needed, and never passes judgement. He is their go-to contractor for all their projects. Ariol Sharka runs Sharka Construction out of Pembroke, and the company's site describes kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, masonry and decking, and window, door and carpentry work within about 25 miles. The written history runs from 2020 to 2026 across Angi and Google — 30 accounts in all. Angi and HomeAdvisor carry the same profile and the same 4.9 stars from 81 ratings, 95% of them five-star and one a single star, and Google adds 5.0 from seven. Nearly half of those reviews end on the same note: the customer means to call him again, and a December 2020 reviewer was already on their second project. The work runs from big to very small. An August 2026 reviewer had a whole-house renovation done, and another that month hired him for a kitchen renovation. A May 2026 customer who had three decks rebuilt said the crew walked them through which materials last in harsh weather, and another May 2026 homeowner had an upstairs half bath turned into a full bathroom with a new shower, then the main bathroom retiled. At the other end of the scale: a mailbox in August 2020, a towel bar and a toilet-paper fixture in the North End in October 2020, and a November 2020 customer who noted he took a single window job that bigger companies had turned down. Two things to square away before signing. The state registry lists his Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #190947, as expired — ask where that stands. Angi's listing also states the company does not offer emergency service or warranties, so settle in writing what happens if the work needs a return visit. On price, a July 2020 reviewer called him kind of expensive while describing the work as professional and accurate; a September 2021 customer said the job came in on time and on budget, and an October 2023 reviewer was happy with the quote he gave. If your list is long and mixed — a bathroom to gut, a deck to rebuild, a few doors that never shut right — Sharka is the sort of contractor people keep calling back rather than hire once. Confirm where the registration stands, and agree up front on how a callback gets handled.
