Simard Gas & Oil Co

Simard Gas & Oil Co is a Haverhill heating oil and propane supplier, and a 2022 customer who had switched over from Broco Oil said the man who delivered the oil was very patient with a Great Dane barking at him in the window. The company says it began in 1939 as a family-owned propane and heating oil supplier, and its website lists automatic and emergency fuel delivery, pre-buy plans, propane tank and appliance installation, and grill tank refills across northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. In a 2021 review, a customer placing a simple oil order said the delivery man was nice and patient and that someone picked up the phone, with no sitting on the phone with different departments. A 2024 reviewer who had tried a few oil delivery companies wrote that this one "took the cake." A 2025 customer described the company as courteous and accommodating in an emergency delivery. In a 2024 review, a customer said a real person answered the phone and the company showed up on the next business day. A 2026 customer who said they had come back to the company since closing on a house nine years earlier praised Dave from Simards and said the pricing was very fair, with no issues with delivery. A 2026 reviewer signing as the Harrington family said they had used the company for about 8 years and called the service reliable, professional and consistent. A 2025 customer said that after calling a half-dozen propane companies, Simard was the one willing to recertify a 10-lb propane tank for a sailboat. In a 2024 review, a customer described bringing in two older 10-lb propane tanks that needed recertification and refilling. In a 2025 review, a customer whose propane tank problem threatened holiday activities said the problem was diagnosed in seconds and fixed, along with a quick tutorial on how to avoid it in the future.
