Simolari Electric is an electrical business that says it serves Franklin, Norfolk County and MetroWest Massachusetts with residential and commercial electrical work. Its website names towns including Franklin, Medway, Holliston, Milford, Wrentham and Bellingham as its service area, and it offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service and states that it is insured. In a 2026 review, a customer who had first called Alex to replace an attic fan the year before wrote that on a later call about a no-power issue he came the same day, fixed it, explained exactly what had happened and advised on updates to take care of in the future, with no pressure to have them done that day. In 2026, a customer texted on a Monday and Alex came out the next day, texting when he was on his way and calling when he arrived. In a 2025 review, a customer wrote that what they expected to be a simple chandelier installation became more intensive because of their old house and older wiring, and that Alex explained everything clearly. In 2025, Alex came the same day for a circuit breaker issue that turned out to be far more serious, did a workaround for the immediate problem and came back the next week to do the repair; that 2025 customer wrote that the work was as quoted and the work area was left even cleaner than when he got there. Also in 2025, Alex gave a very reasonable estimate from a couple of photos for replacing a flush mount light in the entry way and installing a media box, and that 2025 customer wrote that Alex and Ben cleaned up everything on the job site. Other 2025 jobs included installing a chandelier and dimmers throughout a house, fixing the lighting issues in a customer's home at a fair price, and resolving a dryer issue quickly.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Simolari Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range

Typical electrical project around $820
Alex was super informative and did a great job!
I texted on a Monday and Alex came out the next day. He texted when he was on his way. He called when he arrived. Very responsive & reliable. Great guy, honest and informative. He was recommended by a friend and I highly recommend him. (My other electrician moved to ME) so Alex will be my go to moving forward 100%
Last year, I had been looking for an electrician, reliable, etc., etc. I always check reviews and I checked Alex‘s reviews and was impressed. I called him for the replacement of an attic fan. Alex called me back the same day and we arranged pricing and the replacement to be installed two days later. Two weeks ago I had an electrical issue and Alex arranged to be over the next day but actually called later and said he could make it that day. Not only did he fix the no power issue I had but explained exactly what had happened and advised me of some updates which should be taken care of in the future. No pressure to have them done that same day at all. I ended up having that additional work done that day. One other thing I did notice is that he does not “nickel and dime“ a job. If something small needs attention, he just rolls with it and takes care of it. What I will say for this review is his knowledge, pricing, timing and courtesy are beyond compare.
I cannot recommend Alex and his team enough. Alex's professionalism, level of knowledge and kindness are truly unmatched. From start to finish, he was reliable, thorough and easy to work with. It's clear he takes pride in his work and cares about doing the job right. I highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled electrician.
Alex is amazing! I found him through recommendations from community members on FB. He fit me in last minute and what I thought was going to be a simple job installing a new chandelier ended up being a lot more intensive because of our old house and older wiring. He is truly so knowledgeable, he explained everything clearly and I could tell he was making sure it was done correctly and with quality craftsmanship. I’ll definitely be hiring him for all of my future electrical work!
