Some windows nobody has been able to reach for years. A customer wrote in September 2025 that for over twenty years they had never managed to wash the outside of theirs; after Six Stars came through, they said they couldn't tell there was glass in them at all. In April 2026 another, five years into a house that had been through construction and landscaping, described windows and screens that were filthy and a crew that put them right.
Six Stars is an exterior cleaning company working out of Newton across the western Boston suburbs — Cambridge, Brookline, Belmont, Arlington, Concord, Framingham and a dozen towns besides. It describes itself as family-owned and offers window cleaning, power and soft washing, house washing, roof cleaning and gutter service. Google carries 151 ratings averaging five stars, and HomeAdvisor 82 more at 4.9.
They arrive when they said they would — "they schedule a time and actually come at that scheduled time," a May 2025 customer wrote, and another the same month said the team came promptly as promised, asked when they had questions, and cleaned up after. They also take the awkward jobs. In April 2025 a crew hand-cleaned a church's very old, partly stained-glass windows, working piece by piece until it was done. In August 2025 a customer had windows, screens and sashes done across three floors and several window styles. A September 2024 customer with old double-hung windows, true divided lites and storm windows outside called it a complicated situation and had it handled.
The gutter side is quieter and has the longest history of all: a November 2023 reviewer said they had been using Six Stars for gutter cleaning for six years, that the crew comes on the scheduled day without anyone needing to be home, and that the yard is always cleaned up afterwards. In March 2023, after heavy rain sent the downspouts overflowing, a man named Will came out within a couple of hours to check for a clog and explained what he found.
Pin the scope down before you book. A May 2025 customer praised exactly that habit — the team lays out options so you can pick the service that fits your budget — and in March 2025 another had power washing added on the day of service. Interior against exterior, screens, sills, sashes, storms in or out: those are what move the price. One oddity worth knowing: the company's About page gives 2016 as its founding year while other pages on the same site advertise more than twenty years of cleaning experience.
This is the call for glass that has been left too long, or for a seasonal gutter cleaning you want handled while you are out. Get the estimate in writing with the screens, sills and storm windows named on it.
