Adelfia Painting Ltd

One Newton family has been calling Peter for 25 years: his crew painted nearly every room of their old house and its exterior, and most recently the cabinets and island in their current kitchen. Another customer, writing in 2024, was 16 years in. Adelfia Painting is the Newton company Peter Vasiliadis has run since 1989, covering Newton, Wellesley, Weston, Belmont and Concord with interior and exterior painting, kitchen cabinet work, drywall repair and pressure washing. What customers describe is the preparation as much as the paint. A Newton homeowner of more than 30 years wrote in 2023 about complete floor protection and masking, then patching, filling and sanding before any color went on. In January 2023 a 120-year-old house in Belmont that had not been touched in half a century had its wallpaper stripped, its old plaster skim coated, its trim sanded and everything painted. In 2024 another century-old house and garage were repainted, with minor carpentry and a repair handled along the way. Cabinets come up constantly — refinished in place, and in one October 2024 job done on site without dust or debris anywhere in the house. Peter handles the estimate himself. A 2025 customer had him walk the house and set out the work in order of priority; a September 2024 customer called the price fair and transparent; another in February 2024 said Adelfia cost a bit more than their previous painters and the result was far better. Giovanni runs the sites, and customers named him in 2023 and again in May 2026, on a job that prepped and refinished exterior doors, thresholds and a back balcony ahead of a big event. Two things to know. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 164979, is recorded as expired on the state registry, which matters here because the work reaches past interior painting into exteriors, drywall and small carpentry. And the calendar is full: a 2022 customer described them as very busy but worth the wait. For a careful interior repaint, cabinets brought back to new, or an old house whose plaster and wallpaper have to be dealt with before any color, this is a crew people rehire for decades. Ask where you land in the schedule, and raise the registration before you sign anything.
