Massachusetts has revoked SLA Construction's home improvement contractor registration. Checked against the state registry, HIC #192788 — held in the name SLA Construction Inc — comes back revoked, which is the state cancelling a registration rather than a business letting one run out. For a Milford deck builder, that matters directly: deck work is exactly the kind of job the home improvement statute covers. The business itself is straightforward. BBB lists it at 87 High St in Milford under the categories Deck Builder and Home Improvement, records 12 years in business with a start date of 28 May 2014, names Mr. Adenizio Lima Da Silva as president, and grades it A+ — though it is not BBB accredited and BBB publishes no reviews or complaint figures. Its Houzz profile states deck design as the specialty and shows nine projects, most of them decks, sheds and porches. The written customer record is small and stops in spring 2019. Both accounts are five stars and both name Greyson Lima. In April 2019 a homeowner described an old deck replaced with a solid one inside their budget, with suggestions offered to make it nicer and longer lasting and no pressure to take them. In March 2019 another described a Trex deck with white railings, a crew that worked quickly and even on Sundays to finish, and a cost-effective fix found for a very old storm door. Two good deck reviews from seven years ago are not enough to judge how this company works today, which is why no rating is given here. The registration is the thing to resolve before anything else: confirm the current status with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, and get written proof of registration and insurance before any deposit.
SLA Construction replaced my tired old original deck with a beautiful solid deck that was within my budget. Greyson Lima made recommendations to our plan to make the deck nicer and longer lasting, but within our budget. He did not pressure us to go his way, but made suggestions based on prior work. The materials they used were top quality and we feel we got a better deck than we planned. Greyson and his team were on time and completed the job in the expected time. They were very respectful to my wife and I with regard to schedule, cleanup and general conversation. I would hire SLA for future projects.
SLA construction installed a beautiful treck deck with white railings. They worked quickly and tirelessly, even on Sundays to complete the work. They also were creative when trying to come up with cost effective ways to replace a very old storm door.
