Several reviews from 2025 through this spring describe quick, confident leak diagnosis: Rich, sometimes working with Zach or other team members, shows up, finds the problem, and lays out clear repair options. A 2025 review said the team found a leak in a gunite pool under three years old, after other companies had stopped responding to the homeowner; another 2025 review said the crew was more responsive than competitors and quickly diagnosed the problem. A May 2026 review from first-time pool owners said the team closed their pool in fall 2025 and opened it again that spring, then came back days later for a thorough cleaning. Two reviews from mid-August 2026 describe a different experience. One called the communication horrible. The other said an appointment was missed without notice, and that calls, voicemails, emails, and Facebook messages all went unanswered. For pool leak detection or seasonal opening and closing, the diagnostic work itself has a strong track record. Confirm you have a direct line to reach the team and a firm appointment window before booking.
Rich and his staff do great work. They are very thorough and are respectful of your property. They don't leave a mess and they don't just run in and out and grab your money. They are friendly and helpful. Hiring them would be a good decision. Its always hard to find good people to help you and South Shore Leak Solutions are most certainly good people.
Horrible communication.
Terrible communication and horrible experience with them. We had an appointment for a Monday, but no one showed up. Reached out multiple times, but no one would answer and it kept going to voicemail. They didn't reply to emails, or messages to their Facebook account. They somehow turn up on Wednesday; and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We thought they did great work by patching up the leaks in our vinyl pool (one big tear and two pinholes). Over the next few days, we realized that water was still dropping at a very high rate, so tried reaching back to them. No replies, straight to voicemail for a week. Went to their registered business address, and no one is there. We got exhausted and frustrated, and reached out to someone else. The other person found another major tear in the shallow end and 30 additional pinholes that Richie missed. They were shocked too as to how they missed all these additional leaks. We wasted $625 on this company. The other company - the pool leak specialist ended up being cheaper ($450) and miles apart in customer service and expertise. The lady who handles the phone for Richie had the nerve to reach back after more than a week of ignoring us. Total ripoff.
As first time pool owners, Richie and his team were so helpful and professional! They closed our pool with efficiency in the Fall (2025) and opened our pool this Spring (May, 2026). Richie returned a few days later to do a thorough cleaning of our pool. We are so happy to find trustworthy, informative and patient workers to help us with pool ownership! Highly recommend them for any pool service you may need!
South Shore was great - the were responsive, unlike the other companies, they were able to come out and quickly diagnosed the leak in my pool and gave me a couple of different options on how it could be fixed. I would recommend for any leak issues but Rich and Zach saved the day for us!
