T.S. Century Hardwood Floor is an Everett hardwood-flooring outfit run by Son Vu, and the company says it has 28 years of experience installing and refinishing hardwood. On Angi and HomeAdvisor it holds a 4.8-star average from 44 ratings. The written reviews on file run from July 2020 to April 2021, and the same story repeats across them: Son shows up, explains the process, and turns damaged or hidden floors into finished ones customers weren't expecting. In an April 2021 review, a homeowner described pulling up carpet to find a floor "covered with divots" that Son refinished into what she called "a jaw dropping beautiful oak floor". A March 2021 review detailed a bigger job — refinishing and installing white oak across four rooms, a hallway and a staircase in a 70-year-old house, matching three different starting conditions including hardwood that had been hidden under carpet for years. In a July 2020 review, a customer credited the crew with staying on schedule through a multi-room job spanning two homes — four rooms installed, two refinished, plus more than 3,000 square feet of 1890s hardwood in a second property — while following COVID precautions at the time. One thing worth knowing before calling: every written review on file dates to 2020 or 2021, so it's worth asking about more recent work when you reach out. For a refinish or an install that has to match existing flooring exactly, the reviews point to a contractor customers describe as explaining the process up front and sticking to the schedule — worth a call for that kind of matching job, with a current quote and timeline confirmed before booking.

When Son pulled up the carpet we saw an wood floor covered with divots. Can't imagine what could do so much damage. He refinished the floor to a jaw dropping beautiful oak floor, even refinishing the closet. Our only regret is that waited so long to do it! Son was great to work with-quick response, on time and explained what was needed.
My husband and I have just moved into our new home. We thought the wood floors were just dirty but it turned out they had been damaged. Son came out and gave us a very reasonable quote and explained the process. Son came out today to do the job and we could not be happier. It only took about 4 hours and floors look brand new. Thanks Son for your professionalism and attention to detail! Highly recommend.
T.S. Century Hardwood Floor did an excellent job. Our project involved refinishing and installing white oak flooring in a 70-year old house. 4 rooms, stairs, and a hallway, with 3 different starting points: original hardwood floor of unknown condition hidden under wall-to-wall carpet (two rooms and stairway), original hardwood flooring DIY-refinished with furniture stain by previous owners (hallway and one room), and carpet over old linoleum tile (one room). The goal was to refinish the existing hardwood and install new flooring in the room without, so that all match. This included installing baseboard/base cap in one of the rooms to match the rest of the house. Son Vu seemed to be as committed to the success of the project as we were and offered excellent advice throughout the process. Son has great aesthetic sense and deep knowledge of the materials. Son is fair, honest, and patient with questions and explanations, a good communicator. Critically for this job, which required coordination with furniture movers and a week-long hotel stay, Son was punctual and kept right to project schedule. T.S. Century Hardwood Floor receives my highest recommendation.
Excellent service done by Son. I have included a write up of how satisfied I was with the flooring that was performed.
We hired Son to install 4 rooms of hardwood and refinish 2 rooms of wide pine boards in one home and over 3000 sq feet of 1890's hardwood in another, including stairs and matching and replacing areas too damaged to repair. And in the midst of Covid. timely, hardworking, well versed and followed CDC guidelines at all times. A real craftsman. the floors look amazing. Price very fair. This guy knows his stuff and really cares about the finished product and that you are 100% satisfied!
