In July 2026, a Google reviewer wrote that they had spent a month trying to get other companies to respond with quotes before Taylor came out and repaired their bathroom exhaust fan and light. Small jobs and quick responses run through many of the reviews of Taylor Electrical, a South Boston electrician at 524 E Broadway. The company describes itself as owner-operated by a master electrician, with no subcontractors, claims ten years in business, and lists a service area running from Boston and Cambridge out to Quincy, Waltham, Newton and Malden. Its Google profile shows 4.8 stars from 31 ratings, and the written reviews run from February 2025 to September 2026. The jobs are concrete and mostly modest. In a June 2025 review, a Cambridge customer described a wobbling ceiling fan swapped for one bought online, with a call before arrival and fees below other local quotes. An April 2025 review covered recessed lighting in a living room and kitchen; a February 2025 review, a dryer install in a basement; another from that month, a few wall lights that, in the customer's words, most electricians couldn't be bothered with. In an August 2025 review, a condo resident had an Emporia Vue 3 monitoring system installed on their electrical panel and noted that Taylor met their HOA's licensed-and-insured requirement. Several reviews describe fast responses. A February 2025 reviewer on a service call in Beacon Hill at 11 PM wrote that Taylor showed up in 15 minutes. Another that month said he came the same day to assess the problem, returned the next day, a Saturday, and finished in one day with no mess left. A March 2026 customer said the quote came in well under what they had expected to pay. The one complaint is recent and short: a September 2026 Google review gave one star and called the business "completely unresponsive and unprofessional," without further detail. The company's site lists 24/7 emergency service, free estimates and insurance.
