Ted-Co Inc.

Ted-Co Inc. is a Somerville-based construction management firm offering residential construction, renovations, project management and consulting services. A 2024 Google review credited the company with a bathroom renovation that came in at a reasonable price, with clear communication and craftsmanship good enough that the reviewer's four-year-old cried when the crew's work was done because she missed them — and the family was already lined up for a second project. A 2025 review, describing the company in its construction-management role, called staff Thad and Tai awesome to work with. A 2026 Reddit post separately recommended the company for a project the poster had done in Charlestown before the company moved to Melrose, saying it owned the job from start to finish. One older mention is harder to place: a 2016 Reddit post called a person named Ted Ohnemus a harsh name with no description of any project or business dealing attached — it's not clear whether this concerns Ted-Co or its principal at all, and there's nothing else in the written history to corroborate or explain it. With only a handful of reviews on file, a homeowner considering Ted-Co for a renovation or construction-management role should ask for recent references and a clear scope of work before signing anything.
