Peter's Painting And Home Improvements has been working out of Cedar Street in Somerville since 1994, according to its Better Business Bureau file, which names Peter Lewis as the owner and lists four employees. It is a small shop, not a large remodeling company. Its own description of the work is short: kitchen and bath remodeling, room additions, and tile work. For a homeowner planning a bathroom or a kitchen who wants a small crew rather than a big outfit, this is a reasonable company to call. Ask Peter Lewis for addresses of recent local jobs and for the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration number, and get the tile and fixture allowances written into the quote before any work is scheduled.
