Verified record
Tempco Flooring is a Weymouth, Massachusetts outfit that's been laying carpet, vinyl, and hardwood floors on the South Shore for 15 years, run by owner Jonathan. The record runs 36 reviews from 2021 through today across Google, Houzz, HomeAdvisor, and Angi, and it's remarkably consistent: a 5★ average from 31 Google ratings, 4.9★ from 73 HomeAdvisor ratings, and a perfect 5.0★ from both Houzz and Angi. In a review posted this month, a customer describes an installer fixing a flaw at the final walkthrough that the homeowner hadn't even noticed. In a 2023 review, a homeowner described the crew replacing three bedrooms' carpeting — moving all the furniture and stretching the living room carpet too — in three hours; in a 2025 review, another described a full-house resurfacing and new kitchen and dining-room flooring planned two months out around the homeowner's own schedule. Pricing and scheduling come up often and land the same way each time: reviewers across several years call quotes fair and reasonable, several mention beating out bigger companies' estimates, and more than one from 2024 cite next-day quote visits and quick answers to questions. Punctuality and cleanup are the other repeat theme — crews arriving when promised and leaving the space, as one 2022 review put it, cleaned up 'just like new.' The written work is almost entirely carpet, vinyl, and laminate installation, with some stair-runner and baseboard work; Houzz's fuller service list adds linoleum and vinyl-tile sales alongside the installs. HomeAdvisor and Houzz both carry Screened & Approved / Elite Service style badges. There's nothing to flag in the record itself — no complaint, dispute, or regulatory note turns up anywhere in it, across six years and four platforms. One thing worth asking about: reviews name several different installers over the years (Jonathan, John, Jay, Vinny), so it's worth confirming who's on the crew for your job. For carpet, vinyl, or laminate work on the South Shore, this is a shop with a long, consistent paper trail; get a firm start date up front, since the two-month lead time one customer described suggests scheduling can run out a while.

Great professional company. Jay was awesome to work with and meticulous in installation. On the final walkthrough he fixed something that wasn’t to his standard, I hadn’t even noticed. Fair price, good product, great install. I highly recommend this company.
I hired TempCo floors to resurface my 1008sf home and lay new flooring in the kitchen and dinning room in preparation to list it for sale. They worked with my schedule to plan it two months out. The owner, Matt, was impressively responsive throughout the whole process. He answered all my questions and responded quickly. When it came time to do the work, I stopped in the check on the progress and the workers stopped and was proud to show their work. Which gave me confidence in hiring them. After the sanding and refinishing were complete the owner reached out to communicate the next steps for the kitchen and dining room floors. The floors came out great and I am so pleased. If you’re looking for a trustworthy flooring company, I recommend TempCo floors.
In the process of renovating an estate property in Weymouth MA we needed to interview and intimately hire several contractors. By far, Tempco was the most honest, fair, hard working and professional we met. John evaluated the project and identified a few issues while offering reasonable solutions. He showed up when he said and his work was impeccable. I would and have recommended him to several neighbors and friends. He's a pro - while also being a good guy. He offers good choices and help when asked in making decisions. Great company and a genuine nice guy.
I wish I could give 10 stars! I found Tempco on google after having some disappointing quotes from bigger companies. He has been responsive, reasonable, and so easy to work with every step of the way. He came out the next day for a quote and helped a lot with figuring out a vision for the space (a previously semi-finished basement room) and how to run the flooring into the bathroom and hallway to create a really cohesive look. The day of our scheduled service, I got a leak in my basement ceiling from the fridge in the kitchen above it. When Jon got here in the morning, he not only helped me troubleshoot the leak he also offered the help of his team to move the fridge to make sure it was all ok, since it's hard to move alone. We ended up not needing to do this and had a plumber out the same day to fix the issue but WOW, talk about incredible kindness and going above and beyond! The floors look amazing and I wish I had taken before and after shots to post! Thanks so much for all the help, Jon!
I found Jon and Tempco Flooring through Angi after a disappointing visit with a large national company. Jon was responsive, professional, and offered a great price for a small job (redoing flooring for a basement, hallway and bathroom)! From our first communication, he was supportive and informative without being pushy or condescending, which is something that I have run into a few times as a female homeowner when working with other companies. He does great work at a fair price and isn't out to price gouge you! He even went above and beyond on the day of install and gave me advice on another info we were running into at the house. Highly, highly recommend!
