Tetra sells heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, air conditioners and water heaters online with an instant quote, then, by its own description, has local installer partners do the work under a 5-year guarantee. The company says it was co-founded by CEO Max Veggeberg, with Aamir Sarwar as COO, and lists Plymouth, North Andover, Brockton and Boston among the areas it serves. Google shows 4.6 stars from 196 ratings, and Thumbtack 4.5 from 95. Several customers came to Tetra for mini-splits and heat pumps through Mass Save. A July 2026 reviewer had mini splits installed through Mass Save and praised the crew, naming Arthur. Another, in July 2026, replaced a very old steam oil system and said Tetra dealt with Mass Save. An August 2026 reviewer said the installers left the house cleaner than they found it, added two outlets and soldered a pin hole on a water pipe. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner whose 1988 boiler failed and flooded the basement said a team arrived at 8:15 the next morning. In a November 2024 r/massachusetts thread, a commenter said Tetra was about $10k cheaper than everyone else. In June 2025 a reviewer said a furnace installed for their parents in November 2024 had code violations, including carbon monoxide venting, and no permit. Another reviewer said a boiler installed in November 2024 left three gas leaks and no permit drawn. Others describe breakdowns after the sale: a December 2025 reviewer said a system bought in February 2024 had its AC fail that July and its furnace break down in December 2025, with a labor charge for the repair, and a February 2025 reviewer said a brand-new furnace broke down several times within two months with no 24-hour service to call. A September 2025 customer said Tetra never pointed out that their condo's central air would draw intake air from outside, and that their electric bills were astronomical and the cooling poor. Several reviewers, in 2023, 2024 and 2026, objected to the company's mailers; a November 2024 review said one was dressed up to look like a Mass Save rebate notice. BBB gives Tetra an A+ grade.

The installers were amazing! They left the house cleaner than when they got there, no mess outside, and very quiet. They added an outlet in my basement, an outlet in the backyard, and they soldered a pin hole I had on a water pipe. They really went above and beyond

Outstanding Professional service. Set up / installed Heat Pump as planned. Great and competitive price compared to other contractors’s quote . Did not increase prices after initial quote. I am very appreciative with the great service from Tetra staff ( Muhammad and Dominic). Hopefully, I will receive great service / maintenance service/ warranty after installation. Tetra promises me.
My steam oil system was very old and about to fail so I decided it was time to make a change. I was a nervous about the whole thing, but it turned out very well. It was a big job and the installers were very nice and did a great job. Tetra dealt with MassSave 🙏 and they give a large discount. It's summer now so we're using the AC and it's amazing. Haven't received a electric bill yet, but I'm optimistic it shouldn't be that bad. I was using 3 window units before. Maybe I will give an update in the winter.
