Nobody at The Corner Cabinet is going to knock down your wall. What this Ashland studio sells is the part of a kitchen project that gets decided first and lived with longest — the cabinets, the counters, and the plan they sit in — and its reviews read less like reviews of a company than of individual designers, with Dave, Gil, Gina and Stephanie named over and over from 2019 through this year. The company says it is locally owned and operated, with Gina as owner and operator, and that it has served Greater MetroWest for more than two decades. Its BBB file lines up with that: 30 years, six employees, an A+, and no complaints or government actions listed. The showroom moved to Ashland recently, which is why customers writing in 2019 and again in 2023 still call it "Corner Cabinet in Framingham." The numbers are steady rather than loud — 4.9 across 30 Google ratings, 5.0 across 32 on Houzz, 37 projects posted there. What people actually describe is fit and follow-through. A 2023 reviewer who added an island said Dave matched the new cabinetry to their existing cabinets, ordered it, and held the whole order at the warehouse until install day. A 2024 customer who had shopped the big-box stores first said the pricing came in competitive and that Gil drove out to the house to double-check the cabinets would land in the space. In a 2023 review, a homeowner taking a small bathroom down to the studs described Gil designing a vanity around the footprint of a linen closet that had run all the way to the door molding. A builder wrote in 2019 that he leans on them project to project. Two things to settle before you book. They are the design-and-supply side, not the crew: their own site describes an appointment-only cabinetry design studio, and reviewers describe their separate contractor coordinating with the showroom on dimensions, or sending them there in the first place. Budget for an installer or builder alongside the cabinet order. And the appointment-only part is literal — this isn't a drop-in browse. The written history is also uneven in shape. The Houzz half of it clusters in late 2019; Google carries 2022 through 2026, with one review in the last six months. Houzz lists them as a Decora Elite Dealer and a KraftMaid authorized and priority dealer, which is the directory's listing rather than anything confirmed here. They're the right call if you want somebody to think hard about where every cabinet goes and to price it honestly against a store quote — several customers said they landed there after shopping three or four other places. Bring measurements, an appliance list, and a real budget number to the first appointment; that is the conversation their reviewers describe going well.
“Kitchen & Bath Cabinet Designer - The Corner Cabinet (Current)”
“The Corner Cabinet was a fantastic place to work with for my kitchen and half-bath renovation. Good service and product knowledge is important to me and they delivered. They had a good range of cabinet brands, styles, and hardware to choose from.”
Our second Kitchen with Dave Mauricio and once again we are extraordinarily pleased. Details matter and Dave pays attention to every detail. His recommendations have always been spot on. Experienced, professional, calm, and friendly. And we love the Miralls Line of cabinets; contemporary design, high quality materials, excellent fit and finish.
I worked with Dave and Andrew at The Corner Cabinet on the design and installation of cabinets and bookcases. They were very easy to work with, explained the process in detail and, were readily available to answer any questions. The product quality is great and the installation was flawless. I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend The Corner Cabinet!
Dave Mauricio at the Corner Cabinet was hugely helpful in the design and ordering of our cabinetry system. He is responsive and thoughtful, considerate and knowledgable. They have a range of products, from less expensive to more expensive, to choose from so you can work within your budget. Overall we had a stellar experience working with Dave who supported us throughout many iterations of design/redesign and order/re-order (with many customizations throughout). We give our unreserved and fullest recommendation to anyone doing cabinets to work with Dave Mauricio at the Corner Cabinet.
We had a wonderful experience working with Gil from The Corner Cabinet. He was professional, accommodating, flexible and knowledgeable. We could not be happier with the quality of the product and the design. We highly recommend The Corner Cabinet!
Gina Richards at The Corner Cabinet is the BEST. The design, product selection, and install-after-market service was remarkable. She stayed with us every step of the remodeling project and not only helped with the cabinet and vanity/stone, but also provided good advice along a 5 month very bumpy road with the remodeling contractor. I cannot recommend her and TCC enough. You won't find another like her and the cost to use her/TCC is very competitive with anywhere else. Call her.
