Sixty-six Google ratings, not one below five stars, and nearly every one names the same person: Tony. The Floor Men work out of West Yarmouth and do one thing across Cape Cod — wood floors. Sanding, staining, refinishing, board replacement, new installation. The jobs customers describe are old-house problems. One owner of a 1950s house bought this spring described paint splatters, gouges and protruding nails across neglected floors, all worked out before a stain was applied to unify the color from room to room. Another had beach-house oak sanded, water-damaged and dinged boards swapped out, then refinished in a lighter stain. A third had rotted boards replaced and thresholds adjusted; someone else got new second-floor oak matched to existing floors, plus trim reworked around a fireplace. Speed of response comes up repeatedly. One homeowner this spring said The Floor Men were the only company that answered their inquiry quickly, quoted, and finished ahead of the estimated time. A general contractor who hired them for a job in Eastham called them responsive and reliable, and said the crew cleans up — a note that appears in review after review, often phrased as the house being left cleaner than they found it. One caveat on the record itself: the public review history only goes back to 2025. That is a lot of praise in a short window, so it is a young trail rather than a decade-deep one, and it sits almost entirely on Google. This is the call for a Cape house with tired original floors — pine or oak, water stains, damaged boards, a finish that has given up. Ask for photos of a job like yours, confirm dust control and how many days you will be out of the rooms, and get the board-replacement scope written down before sanding starts, since that is where these projects tend to grow.

Decided it was time to restore the oak floors in our beach house, which involved sanding, replacing water damaged and pinged boards, and refinishing/sealing with a lighter, more up to date stain. We could not be happier with the project. Tony and Adele, The Floor Men, really take pride in their work and make total customer satisfaction their top priority. Every square inch of the wood floor of the 2800 square foot property was done to perfection, including tough to get at areas like the base of balusters and hard to reach closet corners behind doors. They worked efficiently and were careful when moving furniture and other personal items off site. They may not speak English as their native language, but their Customer-speak is flawless. We recommend without hesitation.
