My Husband and I first worked with The MZO Group and John Cronin in 1991 when we built our first home in Lincoln MA - We wanted contemporary and finding an architect with a modern vision that we could have confidence in was difficult when most New Englanders wanted traditional at that time. We were thrilled with the results and when we decided in 2014 to build our ultimate dream house in Gloucester, we returned to John Cronin and his associates - This was not an easy project; for example, there was going to be a roof pool that required steel beams to be placed precisely to make sure it didn't end up in our bedroom and issues with zoning laws over heights, water drainage, etc.. Plus, I had some unusual design ideas that I really needed to be confirmed. To be able to have that confidence in knowing your architect has what it takes to insure the integrity of your build and that what you're envisioning is architecturally sound takes a lot of the pressure off during a very stressful and exciting time. John Cronin is pure class and it was a pleasure to work again with him - a really wonderful human being. I began calling him "Mr. Accessible" because I rarely had to leave a message - he'd pick up and answer any questions I or my husband had. The Architects work collaboratively, so when questionscame up, they call upon everyone's expertise on the many projects that they have worked on to come up with the best solutions. Hundreds of revisions were made, and dozens of preliminary plans were drawn up with no extra fees. John also came by regularly to check out the project as well. MZO is top-tier at an amazingly affordable price. To find a firm that can allow you to design what YOU have in mind and work with that concept and inject those special touches that truly results in a dream home is so satisfying! I know there will never be a cookie-cutter house designed by MZO. Thank you All!!

Consistent with prior work product generated for my company, MZO's current project, 55 custom single family detached condos, successfully produced a wide variety of custom designs that typify traditional village homes; in the process establishing a new price point for this community . Project won PRISM awards for "best multi unit for sale community detached homes" and "best detached home under 2500 sf"; what I consider an awesome accomplishment. MZO's strength from my perspective has been their ability to design product that meets the markets we target.

The MZO Group is an exceedingly qualified organization with immense talent for the housing industry. We have utilized this company for 35 years going back to Claude Miquelle Tradition. For us they have designed in access of 3,000 units including single family homes, apartment buildings, condominiums/townhouse developments and numerous mixed use developments. MZO has performed extraordinarily, especially in unique design and character on every one of our projects. Current Project $10,000,000: - Norfolk, MA consists of 20 Condo Townhouses - Started project January 2016. Expect the duration of the project to take 18 months to completion.

We hired the MZO Group to design a large scale addition to our 1950's colonial home. We had a long wish list for our dated home, and the MZO Group helped us turn it into a beautiful and detailed plan that was easily executed by our contractor. What was once a boxy, compartmentalized house is now spacious with an open floor plan. His design updated our house yet preserved it's colonial charm, which is exactly what we wanted in our historic town. John had a wonderful vision and was incredibly professional, timely and always had our best interests in mind. He has kept an open dialogue with our contractor as the project unfolded, and worked with us as new ideas surfaced along the way. We are thrilled with the project and experience overall.

We contacted the MZO Group to design our custom home. We worked with Jim Zegowitz and were more than pleased. After hearing our ideas and seeing some rough sketches he really blew our minds.
