Almost 5,000 Google ratings at 4.9 stars tells you what Tiger Home Inspection is in this market: a very high-volume inspection company, not a solo operator people have to gamble on. The company works out of Braintree, and people hiring them for pre-purchase, pre-sale, condo, and single-family inspections keep naming the same thing — inspectors who walk the house carefully, explain what they are seeing as they go, and turn that information into a useful report the same day or within hours. The recent review pattern is deep and current. In late June alone, one buyer said Ted Zawalick handled a pre-purchase inspection thoroughly, answered questions, and sent the follow-up report within hours; another said Brandon explained details clearly to a future landlord and that the final report was easy to use; several others described Frank, Nico, Kevin, Tom, Jeff, Keith, Sean, John Brady, Ralph, Ray, and Marc as thorough, early, or patient while walking first-time buyers through the house and its systems. A few details stick: inspectors arriving before the appointment to start on the exterior, pointing out what needs attention now versus later, and, in one March review, starting radon measurement the same day as the main inspection. That strong volume does not erase the complaints, and the complaints are serious because they are about missed defects, not manners. One June reviewer said major structural problems were later found by a contractor after an inspector said he could not get into the crawl space; another said an inspection missed visible water damage, pool and deck safety hazards, roof deterioration, plumbing issues, and sewage-system problems; a May reviewer called one inspector unprofessional over comments about a gas meter; and an April reviewer described the scheduling staff as pushy when a general inspection had to be canceled. There are only 4 negative reviews in the last 6 months against 93 recent reviews, but these are the kind of issues worth asking about directly. Tiger makes the most sense for buyers who want a large, established inspection firm with lots of recent experience and inspectors who will teach as they inspect. Before booking, ask who your assigned inspector will be, whether they expect any access limits such as crawl spaces, what is and is not covered in the inspection, and when you should expect the written report and any add-ons like radon testing.

Our pre purchase inspection was propfessional from the initial call to book it through the actual inspection and follow up. Ted Zawalick, our licenesed inspector, was thorough and answered questions and gave explanations that were helpful and instructive. Literally a few hours after completing the detailed exterior and interior incpection he e-mailed us a complete 32 page inspection report (we are still awaiting results of radon and water qualitry reports which are understandably sent out to labs).<br>It was a very positive experience and left us even more confident in our buying decision.

If I could vote zero I would. My contractor found major structural problems with my home costing me $300,000. over sale price. Inspector said he could not get in the crawl space so he just didnt do it. Whether or not inspection was done pre closing or post closing he said he couldn't get under the house. BS. There are several ways to see and get into a crawlspace. My contractor did. The inspector did not do his job or due diligence to get it done. I was screwed over bad. The city deemed the house uninhabitable. I had to raise house. Two years now and it is still not complete. Tiger inspector failed big time uprooting my entire life.

unlike some other inspection companies that gave me crazy quotes. Brandon from Tiger Home Inspection team was extremely professional and knowledgeable and took time to explain details to me as a future landlord. Much appreciated. pricing very reasonable and worth it. final reports was very comprehensive. I recommend them 100% !!!!

We had a great experience with Tiger. Frank was very thorough, very astute, and knowledgeable. He was also a very generous teacher and took the time to explain what things were, how exactly they worked, and various quirks of different parts of the home that would have eluded me. Highly recommend.
