TJ Heating & Cooling works out of Unit 160 at 71 Faulkner St in North Billerica and says it was founded in 1991, covering Andover, Chelmsford, Lowell, North Billerica and Wilmington. It presents itself as a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer with NATE-certified technicians, and it runs its own sheet metal fabrication shop — meaning it builds ductwork rather than ordering it in. The strongest recent account is from July 2026: a customer had an entire central air system replaced at the turn of June into July, the worst week of the year to need one, and singled out Sam and his crew for staying thorough through it. The older comments run the same way. A July 2023 customer had a new A/C system in and running in a single day. A December 2023 customer who also owns rentals said they had called the company repeatedly for their own home and their properties and had never been let down. In April 2025 a customer named Joe, the technician who arrived with a motor for their cooling system. The complaints are worth separating, because they are not the same kind of thing. The substantive one is a July 2023 review from a long-standing customer: satisfied with the original central air installation apart from where some of the vents ended up, satisfied through years of servicing after that, then a leak that summer and weeks of waiting without the company even setting up an appointment. Follow-through on an existing customer's repair is the thing to press on before you sign anything. The one-star from May 2026 is not about the work at all — it is a complaint about how one of the company's vans was driven on Route 2. One oddity sits in the numbers. A four-star review from December 2023 opens by saying it was written for the wrong TJ's and that the writer could not work out how to delete it. It still counts toward the published average. A reasonable call for a Bryant system, custom ductwork, or a straight replacement from a shop that has been at it since 1991. Ask how repair calls get scheduled for existing customers and what the emergency line actually commits to, because that is where the complaints land.
“TJ replaced our central AC systems with a new Bryant system. So far we're very pleased with Bryant and happy we went with TJ for the install. They were easy to work with, their guys were polite,”
Prompt, professional and reasonable. Sam & his team were thorough throughout the process as they replaced our entire Central Air system during the busy end of June / early July time period when most AC systems fail and their schedules are at their busiest. I cannot recommend TJ Heating & Cooling enough and will be using them for our HVAC needs moving forward. Thank you Sam & team!
The people need to learn how to drive. One of your vehicles almost drove me off of route 2 and almost caused an accident. Your people need to check their blind spots before they take someone’s life.
Joe came by with a motor for our cooling system. Such a nice kid and did a great job. You can tell he’s a hard worker and like’s his job. Thank you, Joe!
Superb service. I've used them a number of times, both at my own home and some rentals I have. They have never let me down.
Accidentally wrote this for the wrong TJ's, but don't know how to delete the review. 4 Stars seems to be the average, so here you go! Sorry!
