Tortora Home Improvement

Tortora Home Improvement holds a 5-star rating on Google from 48 ratings. The company says it has been in business for 19 years, and its website lists roofing, siding, gutters, chimneys, decks and patios, additions and remodeling, with a service area that includes Seymour, Waterbury, Southbury, New Haven and Hartford. Old slate roofs are a recurring job. A 2024 customer said Tortora were the "only folks I could find to take care of our 175 year old slate roof." A 2024 customer with an older brick home said the company repaired its slate roof and one of its two chimneys, and that the household then entered into a roof maintenance contract with Tortora. A 2025 customer said their roof was replaced along with repairs to a carport structure. The work goes beyond roofs. A 2024 customer wrote that Frank Tortora and his team built an office in a storage area of the home, drilling through a concrete wall to add an egress window. In a 2023 review, a customer said Frank and Will reworked an upstairs floor plan, dividing a larger bedroom into two smaller kids' rooms and adding new windows, closets and pocket doors. A 2024 customer said Frank came out promptly and fixed a water leak with the windows, and a 2024 reviewer who manages a small local library and museum said they had turned to Frank Tortora on numerous occasions for maintenance and construction projects in the 100-year-old building. A 2024 customer who hired Tortora for a West Hartford renovation project gave four stars, saying the work was done in a timely manner with only a slight delay. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0652425, as active, held by Tortora Home Improvement LLC.
