Treescapes’ customers describe tree removals close to houses, storm-damaged branches and yards cleared of debris. The Hyannis company says it serves Cape Cod with tree removal, stump grinding, tree and shrub pruning, and landscaping. It describes itself as family-owned and says it has 50 years in business. Recent customers praise the crew’s handling of storm damage. A July 2026 Google reviewer who had hired Treescapes repeatedly described clear explanations of the work and cost, communication and cleanup after a blizzard damaged trees on their property. An April reviewer described removal of a challenging broken branch and two large evergreen trees; another April customer praised Manny and his team for removing damaged trees and clearing fallen branches and debris. A May reviewer also named Manny, praising his response and the price for tree removal. Older customers described demanding removals in more detail. In September 2025, one homeowner said the crew took down five giant pines close to the house and intertwined with street power lines, with precise drops and little left behind after stump grinding. A May 2025 reviewer described a leaning pine removed without damage to the surrounding area, along with other pines and oak trimming. The customer said the crew hauled the trees away and left the yard cleaner than before. Google’s August 2026 listing shows 4.9 stars from 102 ratings, while HomeAdvisor shows 4.8 from 64. Its BBB page gives it an A+ grade. There are also specific complaints about prices changing after work began. In an August 2022 review, a homeowner said Manny requested another $1,000 after the crew had partly cut a tree; the customer paid to have the job finished. An October 2023 HomeAdvisor reviewer said the owner demanded more than the agreed $3,200 and left cut branches behind when the customer refused. A July 2024 reviewer likewise alleged a demand for double the contracted price, unfinished cutting and lawn damage. Separately, a May 2024 Google reviewer praised the tree work but said stump grinding damaged irrigation lines and reimbursement had not arrived when they wrote. The company’s website names John Merlesena as the owner who supervises projects. The August 2022 customer said they had been told the business was sold and Manny was the new owner; that is the customer’s account, while recent reviewers continue to name Manny.
