Tri-State Glass is the shop you call when one pane, one screen or one mirror has failed and you would rather not replace the whole assembly. Working out of 84 South Broadway in Lawrence, it handles window glass repair, re-screening, shower enclosures, custom tabletops, mirrors, plastics and safety glass, alongside a substantial commercial storefront and door-hardware line. It says it has been repairing and replacing glass for homes and businesses since 1989, which it puts at 37 years in the trade; the Better Business Bureau's file records an earlier start, 7/1/1986, and 40 years. The same file lists four employees and Mr. Linus Saulnier as President, while customers writing about their own jobs almost always name Brian as the person who measures, orders and fits the glass. What those customers describe is small-job competence and speed. A shattered round kitchen tabletop was measured, the glass ordered, and the replacement installed the day after it arrived. Another homeowner had windows with failed seals reglazed rather than replaced outright — new glass into the existing frames, at a fraction of new-window cost. Three panels in a bay window were replaced at a reasonable price and on time, with drop cloths down first and the inside swept and vacuumed afterwards. A May 2026 customer had two bathroom glass doors installed and recommended the shop for glass work. Pricing comes up repeatedly as fair. The recent record is not uniform. In March 2026 a customer reported that six months after first contact, visits were scheduled repeatedly and nobody came. A May 2026 customer had the best price but said the job ran longer than expected, and noted the shop has street-only parking on a busy main road. Two of the four most recent reviews raise scheduling or timeline problems, so if your job is time-sensitive, pin down a date and a callback in writing before you commit. On credentials, the site says only "Licensed and Insured" and gives no registration number, so ask for the Home Improvement Contractor registration in writing and check it yourself before any work that needs one. The BBB shows an A+ grade with no complaints on file, though the shop is not BBB accredited. This is the right call for a homeowner with a specific piece of failed glass — a seal-failed sealed unit, a torn screen, a broken tabletop, a shower enclosure — who wants it repaired rather than replaced. Confirm the lead time and who will be doing the work.

Had the best price but took longer than expected. Parking is street only, which can br difficult on busy main street.

Tri-State Glass installed two bathroom glass doors. They did a very good job and I recommend him for glass-related work. Thank you Brian.

The round glass on our kitchen table shattered when my wife dropped a cofee cup on it. We called Brian and he came very promptly and measured the table. He ordered the glass for us. The day after he received the glass he was at our house and removed the old glass and installed the new glass on our table. His price was very fair and the service was prompt. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend him.
