Triad Associates is the outfit pool installers around Haverhill hand their customers off to once the pool is in the ground. Hardscape is the whole business — exposed aggregate and paver pool decks, patios, driveways, walkways, retaining walls, plus pool plastering — and the company says it has been family owned since 1986. Across 155 Google ratings it sits at 4.5. When the crews are on site, the work lands. A homeowner in June described a new aggregate pool deck poured start to finish — prep, grading, design and pour — and called the crew's work outstanding. In May another was referred by their pool installer, walked through options for an aggregate deck and retaining wall with a drainage plan built in, and came away satisfied. A third May review runs through a full backyard build: a 500-gallon dry well to divert rainwater, natural rock walls, and 12-inch pipe staged around another contractor's pool crane date. A fourth reported that a problem from a resurfacing the year before was chased down and fixed. The complaints are not about the finished concrete — they are about how the company behaves around it. In May a customer said the pebble-finish crew arrived at 6am in violation of the building permit, creating problems with the town and neighbours, and that when they called to complain the manager was dismissive and threatened to pull the crew. In April a homeowner with a $50,000 budget walked away from the sales visit entirely, describing a rep who took other calls mid-meeting and pushed for a signature before questions were answered. Older reviews add a recurring theme of slow or absent responses once a project is finished or a problem surfaces. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, verified against the state registry. They are a strong candidate for a pool deck or a full hardscape build where the technical execution is what matters, and they are used to coordinating with pool and electrical trades. Before signing, pin down permitted work hours in writing, get the named project manager and a direct number, and ask specifically how warranty callbacks are handled and how long finish colours are guaranteed to match the samples.

The group from Triad just finished pouring our new aggregate pool deck and although it still needs to be acid washed and the pool cleaned, their work was absolutely outstanding! From prep, to grading, design and pour , their team of expert installers worked neatly, in sync and they hustled. Can't say enough about the project or the team at Triad....they turned a very average backyard and pool into something truly special and one to be proud of! Throughout the process they were neat and highly professional. GREAT JOB TRIAD! Sincerely, Ed & Candy Albertian Hopkinton, MA

My wife and I were referred to Triad by our pool installer (Family Pools). Eddie visited our home and walked us through our options and guided us to an aggregate pool deck and retainer wall (which included a great drainage plan) that was perfect for our in-ground pool and yard. We had contacted other contractors for the work, but Eddie presented a plan and product that was hands-down the best option for us. The proposed schedule had some flex to it as it was to be a very early spring project and New England weather can be quite unpredictable. Eddie's communication was great! The project started early and ran extremely efficiently. The Triad crew was so impressive. They were focused, hard working, and extremely professional. They worked like a finely tuned machine. The end result was a pool deck and wall that far surpassed our expectations. We had a few last minute change orders that didn't phase Eddie & the team in the least. And, the extra charges were very reasonable. We highly recommend Triad as a first-class company who you can count on for great results! Dennis & Jeanne Epping, NH

Triad installed the pebble finish on our pool. The work was fine (not amazing, but fine), but the crew showed up at 6am (see pic from our camera) in violation of the building permit, causing a host of problems with the Town and our neighbors. When I called the company to complain, the manager (Chris) basically told me to pound sand and said he was going to tell his guys to walk off the job. There are so many companies that can do this work equally well, so I would think twice before using these guys. Just not worth the stress.

I had a issue after getting my pool resurfaced last year. Triad has worked the last few weeks to fix. The pool looks a 100% better

I would like to share my wonderful experience with Triad Associates. It all started on November 4th 2025 when they dropped off their 308 CAT excavator and other equipment. Triad first broke ground with Rocky and Jason installing a 500 gallon dry well to divert rain water from pouring on my future pool deck and into my future fiberglass pool (Installed by Blue Dolphin). It was a challenge for Triad to build gorgeous natural rock walls and install 12” pipe to a certain point. Leaving access for Blue Dolphin to crane in the fiberglass pool during late December. Triad staged all remaining materials, cleaned up and shipped out for the winter. Now it’s April 22nd 2026. Here’s comes the crew with a staked team with Rocky at the wheel. They had a 308, 304 CAT excavator and a skid steer. The pool is in, piped and ready to go. Rocky was strategic and efficient with his crew. Rocky is truly the Picasso of his field. The placement of the boulder rocks walls , crushed stone and pool shed pad is truly a work of art. Not to mention working with electrical and gas trenches with underground inspections. Triad installed Mini-Creta steps to the pool shed was Rocky’s last great idea. Rocky finished all the heavy equipment work for the other skilled teams to execute. Jason then sent out his secret weapon Phil. Phil came out on a rainy Saturday to form up my 1600 + sq ft pool deck with sexy curves to make your jaw drop. I could tell Phil has over 30 plus years of experience and great ideas. May 11th 2026 is the first day of two pours. Jason split up the pool deck and pool house pour for two days. To insure the beautiful aggregate was installed properly and not rushed. On both days they dyed the concrete tan for a seamless match. Phil made it look easy with his 14 man crew. Everyone had a job and stayed busy. Triad went over and beyond all expectations on the project. From design, great ideas, and changes I threw at them. They handled all the punches with professionalism. I would love to thank Rocky, Jason, Phil and all the crews for a job well done!! Highly recommended, 10 stars!!!
