Two late-2025 Google customers describe paying in full for commercial electrical work that had not started months later, with repeated delays and communication problems. That is the clearest thing to discuss before hiring Trudell Electrical Contractors. The company says it is family-owned and operated by Shane Trudell and serves residential and commercial customers with installations, upgrades, remodeling, lighting, and transformer or generator wiring. Massachusetts registry records verify Shane Trudell's active electrician license 23288. The written customer history is small: two Google reviews, both one star, while Angi and HomeAdvisor each display 4.4 stars from 14 ratings. The directory averages are more favorable, but they do not include detailed accounts comparable to the two Google complaints. For a proposed project, confirm the start date, materials, payment milestones, and a written remedy for delays before work begins. The broad electrical services are clearly stated; the limited detailed history makes those practical safeguards especially important.
We hired Shane and his company and paid $15,000 about 5 months ago and another $5,000 over 2 months ago for a large electrical upgrade to a mixed use building. Shane was initially professional and responsive, but as time went on, he kept fabricating problems of why he couldn't start the job. Five months later, he has still not started the job and has not even delivered the materials for the job. He has gradually become less communicative to the point of being non responsive now, so that we have to pursue legal action. Do you want to take a chance that your job will get done in the time and budget promised? Or do you want the risk that Shane will take your money, continuously fabricate lies and excuses of why he can't start the job, until you are left with no choice but to hire a lawyer to try to get your money back? Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and go with someone else.
I hired TEC - Turdell ELectrical Contractors and Shane to do a commercial electical job. Payment in full of $20,000 was provided. Even after some issues at the job site were addressed, Shane has continuously postpend the work and made excuses for delays. Shane has repeatedly pushed back deadlines, and I have been waiting for over a month for TEC to start a job that is fully paid. I may have to pursue legal action to try to get my money back or get the job completed. I would not recommend.
