Decks are most of what TrueGrit Building & Remodeling gets hired for, with stonework, steps and a chimney rebuild mixed in. The company describes itself as having many years of experience across home improvement, and on Google it holds 5 stars from 11 ratings. One recent customer said the old deck, once torn down, turned out to be rotted and rusted, so Glen and his dad rebuilt it from the ground up. A couple who first hired the company to replace a worn-out wooden deck chose a composite deck with black railings from options Glen showed them, then came back a couple of months later to have old concrete front steps redone as granite steps with natural veneer stone; they named Glen and Sati on that work. A first-time homebuyer had a backyard deck built. A customer had a sidewalk redone and lattice put on around a porch. Glen and his crew were thanked by one customer for thorough work at a very good price. A 2026 customer whose porch project hit a spot with no stable base said the company came out the same day to quote, started right away, built a border wall and stabilized the porch foundation, and also repaired the masonry border around the porch and the walkway. A 2026 customer who found the company on Thumbtack said it rebuilt their deck. A 2026 customer said the company rebuilt a broken, deteriorated chimney and repaired the roof.
Glen is very respectful and professional on all his services. Highly recommend
We originally hired TrueGrit Building & Remodeling LLC to replace our old, worn-out wooden deck, and we are so glad we chose Glen and his team! Glen showed us several beautiful options, and we decided on a composite deck with elegant black railings. The finished deck looks absolutely gorgeous! From the initial framing to the final details, Glen and his team did an outstanding job and made sure everything was done right. A couple of months later, we decided to hire TrueGrit again for another project: transforming our old concrete front steps. Glen presented us with several beautiful options, and we chose stunning granite steps with natural veneer stone. We honestly never imagined our front entrance could look this beautiful! Glen and Sati made an incredible difference, completely transforming the appearance of our home. What impressed us most was Glen’s attention to every detail, their professionalism, and the quality of their workmanship. Both projects turned out even better than we expected. They went above and beyond, kept the work clean, and made sure everything looked amazing. We couldn’t be happier with both projects! We highly recommend Glen, Sati, and TrueGrit Building & Remodeling LLC to anyone looking to upgrade their home. They truly know how to transform a house and make it look beautiful. The quality of their work makes it worth every dollar! We will definitely be hiring TrueGrit again for future projects. If you’re looking for a professional, reliable team that takes pride in their work, look no further than TrueGrit Building & Remodeling LLC. You won’t be disappointed! Jim & Sue Farley Litchfield CT
I could not be more pleased with my new deck! Glen and his dad paid attention to every detail. When the old deck was torn down it was obvious that it needed to be completely redone. The wood was rotted. The metal was rusted. They rebuilt it from the ground up. Everything was completed in the most professional manner. It is now, not only beautiful, but solid and safe as well. If you want perfection go with Truegrit Building and Remodeling. You will be happy you did. I highly recommend them.
I would like to thank Glen and crew for the wonderful work; thorough and exacting, and all for a very good price . . . I would recommend TrueGrit highly. Two thumbs up.
I bought my very first house and TrueGrit made an amazing project for the backyard deck. Beyond being so professional, they were so sweet to me. Thank you for taking such good care of my home!
