Twin City Plumbing & Heating

Twin City Plumbing & Heating is a Fitchburg, Massachusetts plumbing and heating contractor whose reviewers keep circling back to the same names — John (Jonathan Sweeney, the owner), Mason, Raymond, Austin — and the same story: someone shows up fast, explains the problem clearly, and gets it fixed. The company's Massachusetts plumber license is active and registry-verified, held by Jonathan Sweeney, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. The work people describe spans core plumbing and heating: drain snaking and a main drain replacement, gas piping for a new installation that helped one homeowner pass a city permit inspection, water heater and heat pump water heater installs one reviewer called "a work of art," furnace and boiler repairs, and a Saturday visit from the owner personally when a customer had concerns about their boiler. One homeowner whose basement flooded during a storm, submerging two boilers, says John came out the next day to evaluate them and had things running again by the following day. Responsiveness comes up constantly and across years: reviewers describe getting an appointment the morning after calling, technicians arriving early, and same-day fixes for stuck faucets and broken water heaters. The company self-reports residential and commercial plumbing, drain, backflow, gas piping and sump pump work, along with a furnace installation certification, across Fitchburg and Leominster. It isn't flawless. In a 2024 review, one customer said the workmanship was decent but the labor rate was high, and advised getting a quote up front rather than chatting with the crew while the clock runs — worth asking about before the job starts, even though it's the outlier in an otherwise deep run of five-star reviews stretching back to 2021. For a straightforward plumbing repair, a water heater swap, or heating system trouble in the Fitchburg/Leominster area, this is a licensed, well-reviewed call — just get the estimate in writing first.
