Mike and his team did an excellent job with our floors. We came up with an excellent plan that involved a minimal amount of moving for our furniture. Mike was very easy to communicate with and was highly responsive.

I have done a lot of home renovation projects in the past, and I wish ALL contractors were like Mike. From start to finish of this ENORMOUS project, Mike was amazing to work with. He showed up when he said he was going to show up, he responded promptly to emails and texts, and he remembered all of the little details that we discussed along the way. His estimate was accurate and included all of the components that we talked about, and then we made some adjustments to the original estimate, which were also perfectly captured. And on top of all that, his quote/estimate was one of the most reasonable ones that we received (and we got 6 quotes). He was so knowledgeable with the information and advice that he provided, and I had complete trust that he would do a superb job. We had to move out of the house while the work was ongoing. He kept in touch the entire time, providing updates regularly. I never doubted that things were going well and according to plan. He had a team of two additional guys and they were also very pleasant and very hard working. And the work that was done was unbelievable quality. It looks so beautiful - a complete transformation of the home! In addition to the flooring, we paid Mike to install new 6 inch baseboards, which was a great addition. I would recommend Mike and Universal Flooring to anyone who is considering new hardwood floors or any flooring work for that matter. We will certainly use him again in the future if ever needed. It’s always a pleasure to work with Mike Tran. He is very accommodating and he is quite fair in his pricing. He moved the furniture which saved me from hiring someone else. Mike has done flooring work in my home on 3 other occasions and his work has always been outstanding.

Michael was very responsive from the get go and answered a ton of questions about how he would refinish an antique (1895) pine floor and fill in large cracks and gaps that had deteriorated over the years. He and his crew completed the job in one day, wore masks (essential during the pandemic), and left the place cleaner than before they arrived. Beautiful work and an excellent value.

Mike Tran and his team are terrific. They did exactly what we discussed in the time frame expected, were polite and professional and stuck with the original estimate. You won't go wrong hiring them!
