W Gomez Painting and Carpentry

Hired on short notice in May 2026 to paint an upstairs — three bedrooms, three closets and a bathroom — Walter Gomez came early, worked long days, and cleaned up at the end of every one. Reviewers describe him working alongside a partner, and between them they handle the paint and the wood underneath it. W Gomez Painting and Carpentry works out of Lynn, Massachusetts, and lists Lynn as its service area. The company's site says it has ten years behind it and covers painting, carpentry, gutters, remodeling, cabinet painting, tile and power washing. On Google it averages 5.0 across 13 ratings; its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles each show 5.0 from five. The carpentry half of the name shows up most clearly outside. A March 2026 customer had the exterior painted after the surfaces were scraped and cleaned and areas of rotted wood were repaired with carpentry work first; another that month had the gutters and exterior woodwork repaired and painted along with the interior. Indoors, a July 2026 homeowner had an upstairs bathroom painted and touch-ups done around the house — ceilings, doors — and called the free estimate reasonable. Two things repeat across the reviews. Five of the thirteen mention the crew arriving on time or early, and four call the price affordable, reasonable or fair — one March 2026 customer set it against others who wanted to charge a lot more. One Google review is written in Spanish, and the Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles both list Spanish language support. Worth sorting out before you book: the company's site says ten years in business, while those same two profiles report six years of experience. The site also says its crews are licensed and insured, and both profiles list insurance — ask for the certificate. For an interior repaint, or an exterior job where the wood needs fixing before the first coat, this is a straightforward call in Lynn; get the prep — the scraping and the rot repair — written into the quote so the price you are given is the price that covers it.
