Wallace Electric is Steve Wallace's one-man shop out of Plymouth, and the reviews keep landing on the same message: the panel gets bigger, the wiring gets neater, and the price holds. On Google he's rated 5 stars across nine reviews, and one customer says they've called him back for at least seven years running — reliable, fairly priced, sticks to his estimates, cleans up after himself. The bigger jobs are the telling ones. One customer describes a full 200-amp service upgrade where Steve handled the permitting and trenching himself, start to finish. Another had him wire an entire new house build — on time and on budget, with the price beating every other quote they got. Between those, the record is full of the everyday calls: light fixtures and dimmer switches, new outlets, a mounted TV, an EV charging station, a back porch fan. A homeowner who bought a house with known electrical issues in Cedarville says Steve fixed them without drama. That consistency is worth noting for what it is: nine reviews, all posted in 2026, all on Google — a tight, recent record from what looks like a small, word-of-mouth operation rather than a large outfit, which fits a solo electrician working a loyal Plymouth-area client base. For anything from a light fixture swap to a full panel upgrade or new-build wiring, this reads as a call-Steve-directly outfit — jobs come through repeat customers and referrals more than a big service network, so getting on his schedule directly is the move.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Wallace Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

I was very pleased with my experience with Steve. He arrived when promised, completed the installation of new fixtures along with some other electrical issues in one day - all at a reasonable price. I would definitely contact him again and would highly recommend Wallace Electric to anyone who is looking for an electrician.
I had several jobs that Steve was able to take care of for me, the biggest, upgrade to 200 AMP Service. Steve handled permitting, trenching, every step in the process. He was organized, reliable, and did an incredibly professional job. I found him to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. Would absolutely recommend!
Steve installed all of the electrical for my new house build. Everything came out perfect, no issues, on time and on budget! Steve is great to work with, knowledgable, thorough and neat. He really takes pride in the work he does. I was unable to beat the price he quoted. If you need an electrician there is no other calls you need to make other than to Steve Wallace! The town wiring inspector said he knows when he sees Steve’s name on a permit that the job is going to be done the right way.
Steve is friendly and timely. He installed all our replacement lights and dimmer switches. He added outlets in the basement and at the kitchen island He installed our back porch fan I’ve recommended him many times and everyone has been happy with his work.
I know I can trust Steve with my home, he does a fantastic job of completing all my electrical needs including all new wiring in my house, installing light fixtures, outlets, switches and more. I am gutting my house one room at a time and at the start only had one overhead light in the entire space. Since then, Steve has been part of the remodel of my kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. He is hardworking and professional, efficient and kind. I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone to trust with their electrical work.
