Walley's Heating & Air Conditioning

A furnace repair completed on a Sunday and an AC visit that left a customer disputing the diagnosis both feature in recent accounts of Walley's Heating & Air Conditioning. The Nashua company says it repairs, maintains, designs and installs heating, cooling and water-heating systems across southern New Hampshire and bordering Massachusetts towns. Its stated area includes Merrimack, Hollis, Derry and Londonderry, along with Pepperell, Groton, Dunstable and Dracut. Customers describe specific repairs and communication along the way. One August 2026 reviewer said Bryan diagnosed a failed furnace transformer, ordered the replacement and returned on Sunday afternoon to install it, restoring the furnace and tankless water heater and cleaning the work area. An April reviewer described Spencer arriving within two hours, tracing water under the furnace to a leaking pump and replacing it while explaining the problem. Another April account said the company answered a Saturday call about a failed heater, booked a Monday appointment and agreed to install a part the customer had bought independently. A May reviewer praised arrival updates and the technician's explanations during an AC check. Installation accounts stretch further back. In a February 2023 review, a customer described an earlier HVAC replacement and central AC installation at their Derry home, followed by a successful first-visit repair of a hydro-air problem at a different home. A November 2021 reviewer said a five-zone heat pump worked well for both cooling and heating three months after installation, and described Dave spending time explaining the proposal and answering questions. Plumbing work also appears in dated accounts: a February 2026 reviewer described faucet and toilet-component installation, and a March reviewer described replacement of a leaking washing-machine valve. Google shows 4.9 stars from 818 ratings. Walley's has an A+ BBB grade, and its New Hampshire mechanical business entity licence and Massachusetts sheet-metal business licence are active. There are also concrete complaints. A May 2026 reviewer said the technician arrived at 5:56 PM for a 1–4 PM window and proposed multiple replacement parts, possibly an entire condenser; the reviewer said their husband subsequently restored operation by replacing a relay. A June reviewer praised a 2016 central AC installation but objected to a nearly $1,000 cleaning proposal, compared with $400–$450 quotes elsewhere, and said another contractor found a disconnected pipe Walley's had missed. In a December 2024 Reddit comment, a person alleged that a technician had broken a boiler nozzle and concealed it during work a couple of years earlier. The commenter said Walley's eventually reimbursed the other company's repair, but they would not use it for their boiler again.
