The Brewster firm says it was established in 2015 by brothers Charlie and Matthew Whitcomb, starting as a small carpentry subcontracting venture and growing into a full-service general contractor; the brothers still lead it, with John Casale as CFO. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active and held in the company's own name. The work it describes for itself runs from custom homes and whole-house renovations to historic Cape restorations, ADUs, barns and garages, modular builds and small commercial projects across Cape Cod and the South Shore. What the permits actually describe is a remodeling outfit. Multi-room and kitchen remodels dominate, spread across South Dennis, Harwich, West Yarmouth, Chatham and Eastham, with a typical permit valued near $45,000. The company also turns up in Brewster's historic district committee filings, standing in for homeowners on exterior-alteration review — the kind of paperwork that separates crews comfortable with old Cape houses from those who aren't. The reputation side is close to empty. Its one Google review, posted in December 2025, is a 5 — but it was written by a firm describing itself as a close collaborator and partner on several client projects, not by a homeowner who hired them. BuildZoom shows no customer reviews at all, and lists one 2024 Harwich bathroom permit as suspended. So the licence and the permit history are solid; the homeowner testimony simply isn't there yet. If you're considering them for a Cape remodel or a historic-district job, ask for references from homeowners on work like yours, and ask what happened with that suspended Harwich permit.
