Homes By Sisson has been building on Cape Cod long enough to be on its second generation: Scott and Randi Sisson run the Orleans design-build firm, and their daughter Mackenzie, a licensed construction supervisor, came into it in 2013. The company says it opened in 1980 and takes a house end to end — engineering, design, permitting and construction — for new builds, additions and renovations. The work travels. A 2023 Cape Cod Life piece on Mackenzie described a family business built on high-end custom homes over 34 years; a 2020 project page from Charles Rose Architects names Homes By Sisson as the general contractor; and a June 2026 One Kindesign feature credits the firm as the builder. Its name turns up on Dwell as well. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#103439) is active, and Scott Sisson holds an active construction supervisor licence (CS-035324) in his own name. The Better Business Bureau grades the business A+, on a profile that is not accredited, and BuildZoom lists 26 projects for the company. This is a builder for the custom-house and whole-renovation end of the market, not a quick-repair call. Before you sign, ask to walk a finished project close to the size of yours, and get the design and permitting work priced separately from the construction.
