A.C. Castle Roofing is a Beverly-based roofing contractor whose most-repeated story isn't about the day the crew shows up — it's about the day years later when the owner, Brian, does too. Reviewers describe him personally climbing back onto roofs he installed five, seven, even nine years earlier to fix a chimney flashing or track down a ceiling leak, without a fight over warranty coverage. The company handles full roof replacements, chimney removals and re-flashings, ridge vents and gutters, and carries an A+ accredited rating with the Better Business Bureau. The written record runs deep — 52 reviews from 2022 through mid-2026 across Google and Angi, with a 4.7★ average on 70 Google ratings. The last six months alone brought ten reviews, all positive, describing quick on-site estimates, chimney work and same-day fixes to a leaking skylight. Cleanup comes up again and again: one recent reviewer said the crew left a house-and-pool-house reroof without a single stray nail or shingle scrap on the property. Longtime customers describe Brian personally returning for warranty-era repairs well after the original job — in a 2025 review, one wrote he climbed the roof himself to caulk a chimney flashing five years after installing it; in a 2024 review, another said he tracked down and fixed a ceiling leak seven years after the original roof went on. Not every account is glowing. In a 2024 review, a customer described a new roof left with unsealed flashing and unfixed rot in the rakeboards, plus a yard left a mess; another 2024 review described two missed appointments with no call; and a 2022 review reported garden and porch damage during a job. None of these show up in the last six months of reviews, but they're worth asking about directly — specifically how flashing gets sealed and how cleanup is handled day to day. For a straightforward reroof, a chimney or gutter repair, or a warranty callback years after the fact, this is a contractor with a real track record of coming back — just get the flashing and cleanup details spelled out before the crew starts.
The estimate was scheduled quickly, estimate given on the spot, and the work was scheduled promptly as well. They took the chimney down below the roofline, along with other old unused vents, boarded it up, and added a ridge vent. Everything was done well and few questions were addressed with no issues.
We hired A.C. Castle Roofing to do our house and pool house over in the spring. Between ripping off the old roof, pulling old shingles off over our breezeway and replacing with new shingles after ice and water shield, and installing new roofs with ridge vents, we could not find one roofing nail or roof shingle anywhere around the property. This team had everything cleaned up so well when they were done! They did an great job through-out! Our new roof looks absolutely Beautiful! I would highly recommend this company A.C. Castle for your next roofing experience.
The experience of working with A.C. Castle exceeded our expectations on all fronts. Brian was knowledgeable and thorough in his estimation and explanation of the project. Scheduling was prompt with minimal lead time needed. And the on site team was fabulous. They cleaned up meticulously each day, were mindful of our landscaping and deck, and finished in lightening speed. I highly recommend A.C. Castle for your roofing needs.
I called Brian at A.C.Castle Roofing. He got back to me promptly and actually set up an appointment for the next day. He got here exactly on time. After looking at the roof, he determined that I probably had another 5 to 7 years before I needed to replace it. I did have somebody contact me earlier in the week and told me a lot of salesman will probably try to upsell me but just from his Google map view he said he could probably do it for $15,000 to get back to him after I know what I want to do. I asked Brian if I were to replace it today what’s his estimate and he said in the range of $6,000- $7000 - I was so floored by his reasonable estimate that I was tempted to say let’s do it, but I had to remind myself that he said I had at least another five years, possibly seven before I needed to worry about it. All I can say is do not do your roof without consulting Brian first at A.C. Castle Roofing!
We recently had A.C. Castle Roofing out for the removal of the chimney above the roof line which included framing out the hole, closing it up and re-roofing that flat section of the roof. It was done swiftly and looks great and they did a great job with cleanup as well. A.C. Castle Roofing had done our entire roof back in 2015 which was a really good experience between getting the quote, being guided through the process of deciding which shingles etc. and the install. They explained exactly what my roof needed. The crew was great, the work was completed on time, all debris was removed, no nails left behind. We needed their services for removing a skylight a few years back and that was also done well and quick. In the 11 years that we had the roof, we needed 2 little things fixed. Brian responded quickly every time and came out to take care of it at no charge. We are very pleased with our experience with A.C. Castle Roofing and will definitely use them for all our future roofing needs.
