Albert Innamorati has been inspecting houses since August 1990 — the company says he came to it from his family's construction business, where he worked as a licensed construction supervisor and foreman. Abbey Inspection Services runs out of Clinton and, by its own account, covers a wide Metrowest arc: Acton, Bedford, Boxborough, Bolton, Clinton, Concord, Carlisle, Billerica, Harvard, Hudson, Leominster, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton and Stow. The menu goes past the standard buyer's walkthrough. Alongside pre-listing and phase-of-construction inspections, the company offers radon measurement, water testing, pool inspections and energy-efficiency checks, and lists the credentials to go with them: ASHI certified inspector (member #30599), BPI Certified Building Analyst, Radon Measurement Specialist, Level I Thermographer. The customer half is where it goes quiet. Its BBB page is unaccredited, carries no BBB rating and shows no reviews, so 36 self-reported years arrive without a public word from anyone who actually hired them. Two things to settle on the call. Ask for the Massachusetts home inspector licence number — the site lists #421, which is the company's own claim rather than a state-board check — and ask for a sample report, since the depth of that document is what you are really buying.
