Google puts Assurance Home Inspection at 5 stars across 124 ratings, and the buyers behind those numbers keep describing the same thing: Michael Roumbakis, who runs this one-person operation out of Bolton, narrates what he's finding as he finds it instead of vanishing for two hours and handing over a document at the end. That pattern holds from the earliest reviews on file to the newest. In a 2026 review, a buyer wrote that Mike "was incredibly thorough and explained everything as he worked" and had the report back quickly. In a 2025 review, another buyer described him checking every outlet, testing for moisture, and inspecting the roof and electrical systems before delivering a report within an hour. And in a 2024 review, a buyer on an oddly shaped property said he went into the vents and under the crawlspace, flagging issues as he went. The house changes; the format doesn't — walk it, narrate it, write it up fast. One buyer, in a 2025 review, got a 65-page report the same afternoon. First-time buyers turn up constantly, and a lot of them say some version of the same thing: they went in anxious about a process they didn't understand and came out able to describe their own house. That's backed by real repeat business, not just one-off praise — one buyer used him across several home purchases over the years, another said they'd hired Assurance twice and "could not be happier" — and by referrals that come directly from real estate agents: in a 2025 review, one buyer said Mike came recommended by the realtor they were working with. Every one of those reviews describes Michael personally doing the walkthrough and writing the report — the same hands-on habit that earns the repeat business also means scheduling runs through one person's calendar rather than a dispatched team, worth factoring in on a tight closing timeline. Nothing in the reviews raises a concern about the actual inspection work. For a buyer who wants the inspection explained as it happens and a report the same day rather than a wait, Assurance is a solid call — just book with enough lead time, since a good share of the business here is people coming back or being sent by someone who already has.

Mike was incredibly thorough and explained everything as he worked. His report was very detailed and was ready very quickly.
Michael did an amazing and incredibly thorough job on our home inspection. He was communicative, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with throughout the entire process. All of his emails were prompt, and the report came quickly—detailed, clear, and extremely helpful. We highly, highly recommend him!
Mike has done several home inspections for us over the past few years of our home buying journey and is always so thorough! Not only does he provide an incredibly detailed report, but through out the whole inspection will talk through different things to do or areas to improve and how. He provides clarity when needed and is always willing to answer any questions we had! We appreciate his expertise and would use him again every time in the future!
We had a great experience with our home inspection. I got a very clear list with clear explanations from Michael of what will need work on our house. He was great for new homebuyers, like me, and someone with lots of experience in real estate who I took along for a second opinion was also very impressed with his knowledge and experience.
As a first time homebuyer, I had a lot of nerves regarding my home inspection. I wanted someone who was thorough, meticulous, and could clearly articulate all observed issues. Inspector Michael Roumbakis came highly recommended, and he was absolutely excellent. He was there early (before anyone else got there, even the realtor), he was very personable and professional, and was expert in diagnosing and documenting every problem. He took his time with my inspection with lasted a little over 4 hours (it was a rough house) and provided me with a comprehensive 90+ page report within hours of completing the inspection. I will be hiring Michael again for my next home inspection, which will hopefully turn up a cleaner report than this one
