Thirteen reviews in two years, and nearly all of them start with the owner's first name. Advance Guard Builders LLC runs out of 68 Harrison Ave in Boston, with West Roxbury as its stated home base, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active in the company's name. The BBB accredited it in January 2024 and grades it A+, recording an LLC formed in April 2023 with three employees and David Biondolillo as owner. On both its Angi and Houzz profiles the company describes itself as veteran-owned. The work customers describe is heavier than a handyman list. In a March 2025 review, a homeowner wrote about turning an unused bedroom into a spa bathroom with an adjoining walk-in closet — trenching, moving electrical and plumbing lines, raising the ceiling a foot — and said the site was kept about as spotless as a work site can be. A June 2024 client had a new deck built and a wrap-around porch replaced for $32,000 and wrote that it finished on time and on budget. Another March 2025 reviewer had a full office renovation done for their business. Bathrooms come up again and again, in January 2025, December 2024 and July 2024. The permit trail lines up with that: a $58,000 porch and sunroom renovation in Brookline completed under a 2025 permit, and a $200,000 demolition-and-addition in Sudbury — an 864 sq ft living room and two-car garage — filed the same year, with the owner appearing before Sudbury's conservation commission on the wetlands notice himself. What to weigh: this is a young company. The LLC dates to April 2023, the written record only starts in 2024, and the most recent published account is from August 2025. Two of the six Angi reviews are the same Google reviews republished, so the real count is thinner than the profile totals suggest. Ask for a job finished in the past year, and confirm which licence — the company registration or the construction supervisor number the directories list — covers your particular project. For a Boston-area addition, a bathroom rebuild or a deck-and-porch job with a hands-on general contractor, this is a credible short list candidate with a verified registration behind it.

Very knowledgeable, professional and very accommodating.
David and his team did a full office renovation for my business. Every step along the way was seamless from the estimate to finish. Highly recommend Advance Guard Builders.
If I could give David and his crew ten stars, I would! From start to finish, Advance Guard Builders was top notch every step of the way. We wanted to turn an unused bedroom into a bathroom spa and an adjoining walk-in closet with custom built-ins. David turned our daydream into a resort-level reality. The project required trenching, moving electrical and and plumbing lines, and raising the ceiling height by a foot in the bathroom. The crew was meticulous about cleaning up every day. The worksite was about as spotless as a work site can be. And you'd never know our landscaping had been disturbed. We could not be happier with the result. We thought the cost was extremely reasonable for the work that was done. The project actually came in on time and a little under budget. Amazing!!!
David and his guys did an excellent job on my recent bathroom renovation. They were always very punctual and professional. The work was done on time, in budget and the finished product is beautiful. I would definitely recommend them.
David is the best contractor I have ever met. He is incredibly punctual. He completed remodeling the main bathroom beautifully and on time. He is a very nice guy and fun to chat with. He is also incredibly responsible with the projects I asked him to do.
