AMCON builds other people's businesses, not their houses. From Peabody, with a second office in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, it runs construction management for corporate offices, retail fit-outs, restaurants, multi-unit and mixed-use buildings, and civic projects across New England. The company describes itself as a second-generation, family-owned business and says it is a Women's Business Enterprise — a claim it puts at the center of its own site. In March 2025, Banker & Tradesman described AMCON of Peabody as a women-owned construction firm hired to build out a retail space at Suffolk Downs Apartments, and the New England Real Estate Journal has featured two of its people in its Women in Construction series. It also turns up in the North Shore Chamber of Commerce directory. What's thin here is anything from clients. No reviews have been posted on any platform, and the one open-web comment comes from someone who met two AMCON people at a networking event and said he would call them — an impression, not a finished job. So judge them the old-fashioned way: ask for the portfolio and for references on projects like yours. For a commercial fit-out or an institutional build in eastern Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire, they are a plausible call. For work on a single-family home, nothing here describes that.
