Golden Touch Construct

Golden Touch Construct is a Peabody carpentry outfit run by David (with co-founder Vagner), specializing in staircases, built-ins, and finish carpentry — trim, crown molding, fireplace mantels, coffered ceilings — self-described as four years in business. The state registry lists its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration as active, and Google shows 4.8★ across 17 ratings. The written reviews back up the carpentry focus with real specifics: four new stair sets built and corrected to code height with tight miter joints; an old staircase torn down and rebuilt from scratch; built-ins that "totally transformed" a home office; custom bathroom cabinets designed to fit an odd space; a basement finished with custom carpentry; new woodwork in a mudroom for a customer whose husband — usually a do-it-yourself type — was won over by the result. Several reviews from 2025 describe David personally coordinating the other subcontractors a job needed and keeping worksites clean each evening. One account stands apart from the rest. In a 2025 review, a customer said the business's listed address turned out to be a parking lot, that a 50% deposit was taken for a job that never happened, and that a request for a refund was refused with an excuse about an "email hack." It's a specific, serious allegation — closer to a fraud complaint than a workmanship dispute — and it sits alongside sixteen other detailed, named-crew reviews describing real finished carpentry with no similar pattern. For finish carpentry, staircases, or custom built-ins, the completed work described here is detailed and consistent. Given the deposit allegation above, pay by card rather than wire or cash, confirm the business address in person, and keep a paper trail on any deposit before work starts.
