The same story repeats in October 2025: a homeowner with a misbehaving Town & Country fireplace had called several shops with no luck, then reached Jamie, who spent over 20 minutes on the phone troubleshooting. A November 2025 review covers the service side — a gas insert and chimney cleaned, repaired and inspected, the technician named, the staff called polite and professional. The newest write-up, from August 2026, is a showroom visit: a salesperson named Roddy clarified the whole process and how the project would flow.
Google shows 3.9 stars from 29 ratings. Of the twelve written Google reviews, nine are five stars and three are one star. Its BBB page is an A+, accredited since 1999, listing 77 years in business and four locations, one of them in Saco, Maine. BBB files the company as Anderson Insulation Inc. with Anderson Fireplace as an alternate name — the insulation side, cellulose through spray foam, plus gutters and downspouts, sits beside the fireplace work, and the one recommendation on that BBB page comes from the insulation half of the business. Under the insulation name, BuildZoom counts 48 permitted projects, gas fireplace installations among them.
The three one-star reviews are about getting hold of the place, not the fireplaces. In February 2024, a customer whose fireplace the company had installed said calls about service kept reaching voicemail boxes that were full, and that other departments got him no further; in November 2024, another reviewer found the person who answered the phone unhelpful.
