One person, one job: Craig Anderson tests Massachusetts houses for lead paint. Anderson Lead Inspections works out of Stow and does lead paint inspections and risk assessments — initial inspections, RRP assessments, re-inspections, and the post-compliance determination that closes out a deleading job. The company describes itself as licensed and insured, and says it uses handheld XRF analyzers to read paint on site rather than sending samples out. The people who have hired him keep coming back. In a 2023 Google review, a customer who said they had worked with Anderson repeatedly over the previous decade described calls returned inside 24 hours and reports delivered within a few days, mailed as a paper copy. A 2024 reviewer called him knowledgeable and professional and said they would recommend him for inspection services. That is the whole written history — two reviews, both several years old, behind a 5★ average from three Google ratings. It is consistent, but it is small, so treat it as two people's experience rather than a track record you can lean on. The inspector licence number on the site, M-3801, is the company's own claim. If your inspection has to satisfy a Section 8 or other housing program, ask for the current licence and confirm it with the Massachusetts Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program before you book. A sensible call if you own or are buying a pre-1978 Massachusetts property and need lead testing from a specialist rather than a general home inspector. Ask which inspection type you actually need — initial, RRP, re-inspection, or PCAD — and what the turnaround is on the report.

Craig is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him to anyone needing inspection services!
I have worked with Craig at Anderson Lead Inspections over the past decade on multiple occasions. He is very professional, gets back to you within 24 hours and the report is available within a few days (always getting a paper copy though mail). If you are buying an order house pre 1970 I highly recommend doing the lead inspection with Anderson Lead Inspections just for your peace of mind!
