Arsenault Electric is a Worcester-area electrical contractor built around Phil Arsenault, whose Massachusetts electrician license is verified active (BBB separately lists a second license number for the business). Across 41 reviews from 2022 through 2026 — nearly every one of them five stars, with Google showing 4.9 from 103 ratings — Phil comes up by name in almost every account, and several reviewers describe using him repeatedly over years for one project after another. A recurring specialty is old housing stock: reviewers describe him rewiring 100-, 110- and 120-year-old homes with ungrounded knob-and-tube wiring, glass fuses, and electrical panels that couldn't handle modern loads, often navigating surprises behind the walls with what more than one reviewer called a good sense of humor under pressure. He's also taken on larger commercial work — a 2025 review described a full office rewire during a gut renovation, including three new subpanels and running service underground — alongside the routine calls: recessed lighting, chandeliers, panel upgrades, faulty outlets, a malfunctioning wall oven, doorbell wiring another electrician had given up on. Response time comes up often and specifically: reviewers describe him restoring power after a fallen tree took out service, in one case on a weekend when their regular electrician was away, and getting to same-day or next-day calls even on short notice. The work itself is described as meticulous and clean — several reviewers said you couldn't tell he'd been there except for the finished work — and pricing is generally called fair, though one reviewer noted he isn't the cheapest option and considered that a fair tradeoff for work done right the first time. The one blemish isn't about the electrical work at all: a 2024 review complained about the driving behavior of one of the company's work trucks spotted in Worcester, unrelated to any job. For rewiring an older home, a panel upgrade, or general electrical troubleshooting in the Worcester area, Arsenault Electric's reviews describe a knowledgeable, hands-on electrician with an unusually deep and consistent track record.
Phil is great, gave me a free estimate, showed up right on team, and did a great job. I will definitely hire him again.
Phil did an excellent job installing recessed lighting, added two new chandeliers, and quickly fixed an under-cabinet lighting issue we had, among a few other smaller projects he helped us with. We definitely recommend Arsenault Electric if you are in Northborough or the surrounding area.
Phil responded quickly to our inquiry and met a tight timeline we needed. He was a great communicator and did high quality work. Pricing was very fair as well based on multiple quotes we received. I would highly recommend!
Phil is a true pro. Knowledgeable, professional, and rationale when deciding how to tackle problems and what problems are worth fixing. He’ll be my first call for future work.
Phil came to replace a shower light that was flickering and incorrectly wired. Great customer service, showed up promptly, did a quality job, reasonably priced, and super personable. We did not have an electrician prior to this experience, happy to say Phil will be my family's electrician for all our needs moving forward. Highly recommend.
