Bayside Mechanical Corp is an East Falmouth HVAC company that describes itself, on its own site, as family-owned and women-led, serving Cape Cod and the South Shore for close to 50 years — heating, cooling, ductwork, and indoor air quality work for homes and light-commercial buildings. Recent reviews complicate that longevity, though: the two most recent, both from mid-2026, describe a company that failed to show up or respond rather than one delivering on that history. In a July 2026 review, one customer describes waiting two and a half hours for a repair appointment with no call or text explaining the no-show. In a June 2026 review, another describes three weeks of unanswered follow-up requests — three phone calls, several texts, and emails — after asking for a required second visit. Older reviews tell a different story: in a 2024 review, one customer describes an AC fixed the same morning after a Sunday message, with the technician showing up exactly as promised; in a 2022 review, another simply calls the staff easy to work with and the work good. One older account raises a more serious question about the work itself — in a 2023 review, a customer describes an elderly parent's AC visited and charged for three separate times without being fixed, only for another company to later find a fully degraded condenser. Separately, the Massachusetts state registry currently lists Bayside's HVAC/refrigeration contractor license, held by David Sukach, as expired; BuildZoom does show the company's sheet metal business license, a separate credential, as active. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ rating, though its own profile notes the business is not BBB accredited. With so few reviews on file and a clear split between the older, positive accounts and the newest ones, this is a case where it pays to ask directly before booking — confirm the HVAC license status, get a firm appointment window in writing, and follow up promptly if a technician doesn't show.
Was never able to get Service or pay due to the fact, I waited 2 1/2 hours for a repair person who never showed. Not even a call or text explaining why they were a no-show. they did attempt to have me troubleshoot over the phone with them, which I did appreciate but not showing up for a supposed appointment was not good business etiquette. I hope in the future, they learned to call people and let them know. They are either running late or won’t be showing.
Extremely disappointed with the lack of response from this company. We reached out nearly three weeks ago about a problem that needed a follow-up site visit, and despite three follow up phone calls after the initial call, several text messages, and a couple of emails, we have not received a single response. No call back, no scheduling, nothing. And this is for a long time excellent customer of more than a decade. I was told on the first phone call that the company’s schedule was fairly full and it might be “3 or 4” weeks for a tech to come out. I understand things get busy. However, three weeks of complete silence after this many attempts to reach someone is not acceptable, especially for an unresolved issue—and particularly as we approach peak season for air conditioning. If you can't handle a service call, at minimum let your customers know what's going on instead of leaving them in the dark. Would not recommend based on this experience. Hoping this review prompts an actual response, since nothing else has.
Our AC unit stopped working during the recent heat & humidity spike. I left a message for Bayside on a Sunday. Received a call back promptly on Monday morning and they had a technician available that morning. The technician (Sean or Shawn) showed up just as promised and detected the problem in minutes. I was thinking it might need refrigerant but it was a faulty part on the outdoor unit. I was not expecting such a quick fix since heat waves always create a spike in service requests for HVAC units. Responsiveness, service quality and professionalism and price were all pleasant surprises.
My elderly Dad called because AC was not working. They came 3 times and each time after they left it did not work. They charged for each visit. We called another company to find the condenser was completely degraded. They lost an opportunity for a much larger job because they did not find a blatantly obvious problem. But they made a lot of money on those useless visits.
The people work there are exceptional and very easy to work with and they do such good work
